i love this mod but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is the flintlock CRAP. also can we please get the shotgun from the poster?

Hey, not to say this isn't cool, but I'm just gonna mention that it's been kind of confirmed that the yellow novakid here is holding a shotgun.

I thought he was holding a revolver first, and on closer inspection I saw that there was no cylinder, so I thought it was a flintlock too, but in the original art the guy very heavily implied it was a shotgun. So I guess it's a sawed-off single-shot or something.

Not saying you should change your mod or anything, but I just thought it was interesting. Also, a coach gun would be a pretty cool idea for a novakid-themed weapon, I think, if you're looking for inspiration.

Can you make a cosmetic only version of this mod (no flintlock), craftable in the sewing wheel?

@ArcticDraco Compared to the actual time required to reload a flintlock, I thought the speed I did at the time was pretty forgiving, I might consider lowering it a little though.

For the last year I have been at university and using a different steam account so I was unable to work on this mod, however for the time being I am back home so I'm going to take the opportunity to come back to this mod. It seems like now is the time more than ever to visit over it again though because it seems that the new update recently added to this game has broken the functionality of this mod so I imagine I'm going to have to go over it all from scratch again.

This looks so good and polished! My only two complaints are that there isn't really a hair style to fit the one with the concept art (which is out of your control) and that the flintlocks reload too slowly.

ok now theres a slight issue where im doing everything right (i think) but the set doesnt actually show up ingame.

can I get a non-steam download? I want to modify the spriting a bit, give him intact sleeves, get rid of the badge....(my novakid's no lawman. he's just a wandering gunslinger.)

There's a slight issue. Currently this is accessible to all races. You should make it so it's only accessible to novakids.

It works for all races, I'll clarify that in the FAQ as it's something it doesn't address.

It's worth keeping in mind that the Novakid race wasn't initially intended as part of the main game. During initial development the Novakids didn't even exist and weren't drafted in to the story, they were added in to the game late in development after achieving a pre-order milestone figure.

I've added in an FAQ again. Usually whenever the mod updates it reverts back to the old description though so it may disappear again. Saved a copy on my desktop.

Yeah, like in the one above. It would be really cool if you could pull something off. Even something as simple as re-colouring it to be similar would be really cool.

On a side not, Deckchair I really like this mod and have loved the intital concept art for quite some time. Would you ever want to make a mod that recolours the novakid ship to be more in-line with the concept art and less green and strangely multicoloured? I think it would go perfectly with this mod. Regardless thanks for this awesome mod.

As far as I have tested this is a server side mod. So if you have it installed and join a friends game without it you will still see it on your end but you will appear naked on theirs if you are wearing the armour. I just made my friends grab it as well so my character doesn't appear naked.

Awow.json it should be fine now and not crash your game. It works for me. Just as always make sure starbound is fully off before subscirbing to and downloading any mods.
