Yeah, I still play with this and FU by simply entering admin mode to get the minimum number of copper bars for the FU research aside from that being required, this does work with FU as far as I can tell. Iron can be crafted from ore or dust, making the same for copper would fix the only problem I've encountered.

As far as I can tell from actually playing with this FU and many other mods, either of those small changes would at the very least make the combination playable excluding mods that otherwise make copper ingots obtainable without needing to complete a research node that requires copper.

The problem is how much FU has changed the base game. It sounds easy in concept but if you have a look at FU's source code you'll see its not that simple.

I can think of 2 ways to (relatively) easily make it compatible with FU at the minimum level: 1) easiest I would guess, make copper ore smeltable again. 2) make a new crafting station for turning ore to dust before smelting

Best way to deal with that is to go on the Frackin Universe discord and ask for assistance. The devs are quite helpful.

Im looking into a way to integrate it into FU's research but FU is a very complex mod and pretty confusing.

Oh it's not a serious problem, I just started playing the game again after a bit over a year long break only to find so much has changed, and lots of old mods I used no longer work together right anymore.

It's a bummer, but it won't kill me to live without it for awhile. I got a mod that sorta handily solves the same thing this one does by reducing late game bar grinding, and even supports FU materials, though i'm up in the air if I like that bit or not.

Yeahhh breaks progression in FU now sadly since the Research update to FU in October 2020

Shame cause while it wasn't able to support FU ores, and I didn't mind that, it does suck that I can't get copper now cause the anvil is removed by FU and the only replacement for it requires copper ingots which can't be made without dust which can't be made without an anvil.

I will look into it.

he means the research system, ingots cant be made easily anymore, you need iron ingots to further research but you cant make them because the ore to dust to ingot recipe has been removed

If you don't find the mod useful, you don't need to use it. There are currently over 8000 people subscribed to this mod. The intent is lower the need for mining, more so late game.

This mod doesn't make it easier, it just gives you more bars/ingots. Also, getting bars are as easy as it could get in vanilla Starbound without it just giving you bars from mining.

speaking of fracken copper ore now becomes essential like iron and titanium, you need to have the copper ore to bar recipe to get the anvil to turn it into dust

*ByteSizedGamer: That's the challenge, but it streamlines stuff by only having you mining Titanium for far less time than intended.

This mod is very useful especially for FrackinUniverse which lowers the chance of some ores like Titanium to spawn to make room for others.

Titanium is locked behind the anvil upgrade that requires Titanium.

Its compatible with other mods as it does not alter any base game components, only adds. However because of the way Starbound modding works, this mod itself will not be include FU ores, I will have to create a completely separate sub-mod for other mods. The only reach this has not been done with FU is because how extensive the mod is, I don't know each ore or where they are crafted and such.

And will this mod support any other mods like FU that adding ores?

That is my bad, but still, this mod has nothing to do with steel bars, I can't help you with your issue.

1(Lower Comment): Actually, they once were before Starbound 1.0.0 was released. Even so on the second part, it's near-impossible to even find out what the heck is actually causing the problem, even after being re-added.
2. (Upper) "Atomic Furnace is from a different mod aswell." That is vanilla, it is the final upgradable tier of crafting - smelting "furnace"-type objects in the base game. Look it up.

Also, Atomic Furnace is from a different mod aswell. I can't help you with someone elses mod.

There are no steelbars in the game by default and none added by my mod. You're having compatibility issues with a different mod.

This issue also assists with making the Callistan not too functional, as they also heavily rely on the steel.

The one I'm looking at specifically detail for the requirement of 'Steelbar's, and when I open the atomic furnace and certain types of forges, the save crashes sending me the error saying that such item doesn't exist, and so cannot load to be used properly. Similar with tungsten.
