How does this mod work? Do I need the Mod Config Menu in order for it to work? Are weapons based on the avalability of research? Do I pick up weapons as loot? Where are the weapons in game?

The ADVENT standard rifle reminds me so much of the C-14 gauss rifles that the Marines in StarCraft use.

I'd like to see a Standalone of the Cannon and Gremlin too, so it could be used alongside ADVENT Armory, plus the Gremlin always seems to be the first to bug out on this mod, so giving it its own might actually allow it to be far less buggy.

This mod seems to work fine with WotC, except that the Cannon, when fired in the game, will have the rotating barrel move to the wrong position (in front of the muzzle). Apart from that, i couldn't find anything wrong.

I have encountered a problem. I set the Conventional ADVENT weapons to ) value so I can just use them off the bat in the start of the game after Gatecrasher. After I finished gate crasher, I look into the armory only ot find they are all worth 100 eleriunm, which is IMPOSSIBLE to get at all in the majority of the game until near the end.

Is that a bug? BEcause now I may as well not even use this.

i tried something similar, but got turned off by the glitchy weapon upgrade cosmetics (just weren't visible even if it was possible to mod the weapon)

well i played a bit, there is a way to use the weapons ingame:

1. you have to activate the mod, doesnt matter that you dont see it ingame
2. you have to activate the console (start xcom2 with commandline: -allowconsole -log -autodebug (console key is the key ^ left from number 1)
3. go to the \Steam\steamapps\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\682156617\Config folder
4. open XComGrimyLootMod with notepad
5. now you dont have to cheat yourself - open ingame the console and write

AddItem AssaultRifle_Advent_CV 1
the line above adds the lowtech variant of advent assault rifle

AddItem AssaultRifle_Advent_MG 1
the mid tech variant

AddItem AssaultRifle_Advent_BM 1
high tech variant

dont cheat yourself using the high tech variant after a new game start :)

you have to repeat the command for all the other advent weapon types

the Magnetic-Rifle in LW2 is using the same animation and visual, but different model.

@vyse, the Standard ADVENT Sniper shows up and works well for me, just not the Long Barrel option in the Mod Config menu.

It's not been done and I think CMDBob has moved onto other games. You'd have my (and I'm sure others') gratitude if any hypothetical mod added these weapons to the ADVENT in Pavonis' Alien Pack too.

If hasn't been done so already, I sincerely hope these models can be put onto the ADVENT forces in Long War 2. It's somewhat jarring seeing ADVENT Gunners and Engineers using XCOM's magnetic weapon models. If this doesn't add those models to them, I might just have to learn to use the modding tools and do so myself. Either way, spectacular looking mod you have here!

Hello, I have encountered a strange bug regarding the ADVENT "Long Barrel" sniper Rifle.

I had my sniper fire at a target, yet the shot actually comes from somewhere off to the left side of my the sniper, instead of from the barrel of the rifle. I believe it is a bug.
