The tracks are a bit short, so cargo trains leave their back end hanging out. When they reverse direction a magic wand must shift the last two cars so they can be the dirst two cars on the right side of the tracks.
The inner track pair neither receives nor spawns, but it can be a bypass passthrough.
I learned I can set a "no heavy trucks" zone just outside the terminal, to ban through trucks driving past the terminal, restricting the road(s) to arrivals and departures.

In real life it doesn't have a rail link, and since this video is already a few years old... there are even higher ones in HK now.

This is the games last big flaw cause it seems unmoddable (not even one multi track freight station out there), all other game flaws are corrected by modders (death waves, traffic++, multi track metro stations...hellooooo) meanwhile game developer is spewing beautiful DLCs for $$$ .
I will not buy any DLCs until I saw a freight Station with 2 tracks.
Drosovilla, Sorry again for the harsh words. I have only respect for you and all other modders for working so hard to make the game better for all.
I don't have much experience with all this but are y'all using the Multi-track Station Enabler mod? Maybe that would help? http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=532863263
1. Only one track (the outer one) receives any trains
2. The station is too short. The cargo trains are about 1.5 cells longer than the actual track inside the station, making them weirdly angled when they stop.
I love it already. =D
1 - the building is short - exceeds 1 wagon crossing over the line
2 - trains use only outdoor track and from both directions, producing jams
3 - inner track used at all
4 - building could be more colorful
