Black wood
It adds ebony wood in the game. When chopped it gives a darker wood variant.
Could be because of the parentheses
I figured as much.
For balance reasons no. Ebony is valued the same just as the vanilla woods are. It does however grow a bit slower than other trees.
Ok cool, good idea for a workaround. And thanks!
Erf that's annoying that mods are not totally supported :/ Hope the game dev(s) will try to fix the issues do to mods :x
Yes I could do this, but, by searching a bit in the files i found a way to change the pine wood color to your ebony wood color (thanks for the hex color value :p). Since I'm only using this ebony looking wood i don't care wich name it have xD And by changing the vanilla wood color rather than adding a new one, i could get another mod "at the same way" staying subscribed to your mod 'cause the look of the ebony is just beautiful :3
Again, thanks for making this incredible looking ebony wood :3
Yeah this has been reported to me. Sadly it is not within my control; it is actually a bug that the game has in how it handles mods. So hopefully that will be fixed soon.
As far as a workaround, I suggest that you set a 'craft to X' for all ebony furniture that you would like to use so that your gnomes will automatically make them when you start to use them in construction.
But actually there's a "problem" if i could say so. The problem is that when you ask for craft a crate, a workbench, a bed or anything that need to get crafted in a workbench, the game don't know that he have to put it in the crafting list of the associated bench and you have to make all "ingredients" manually, unlike the other wood items (made from vanilla wood).
Is there an issue to get this IG option up for the ebony wood? :x 'cause i'm a bit lazy of going in each workbench for tell them to craft my ebony items for my gnomes to craft what i asked x)
Yeah I've actually thought about this as well, just been working out how it would work exactly. I don't think it should be too OP but I feel like there should be a) reinforced doors and tiers of them that can withstand damage more before breaking and b) a more automatic gate. Maybe they would be combined. I'll see what I can do, good suggestions.
What did you have in mind?
But glad to know that mine works with his. Thanks!
What kind of colors would you like?
Let me know if you would if that works or not
If you would like to use this with multiple mods:
"To combine multiple mods, create a folder in your mod folder and name it "Included Mods". This folder should be next to the Data and Sprites folder. Copy the mod you want to include into that new folder. Create a text file called modmergeorder.ini and list the mods in the order you want them to be added. Mods will merge together with mods that loaded first having priority." - Gnomoria Dev on the forums.
Note that I have not personally tested multiple mod support with this mod and as it is a new feature expect it to not work without some tinkering. Hopefully it will be changed in the future to be more user-friendly and consistent. I recommend setting Ebony Wood's priority to be pretty low so that it conflicts with as little as possible and just adds the information it needs to.
Simply subscribe, restart your game if it is open to download it, and then you have to start a new world. When you do, go into advanced options and click the dropdown menu and select "Ebony Wood". Now when you generate your world you should have ebony trees growing in it!
Shame, I really wanted ebony furniture everywhere.
this being one of them.
