Steam does things differently, from what I've gathered you have to organize your files differently. Most of the stolen mods don't do that, they just take the Nexus or Deadlystream version and upload it over here without doing any extra work.


I've no idea if this mod is poorly uploaded, I wasn't sure if this was actually a legit mod uploaded with permission from the Mod Author or if this was yet another Stolen one, so I wasn't going to use it until I knew for sure.

There is a certain account on here that I have been told by the actual mod authors steals their work all the time and all his uploads are broken and outdated. Not saying who as to avoid a witchhunt, but chances are you know exactly who I am talking about. Many of the mod authors I've spoken to have said that they've tried to get int touch with Steam to get the mods took down but to no avail.

That said, I am *intensely* curious why you think this mod is poorly uploaded -- if there's some way to fix the weird CTDs on the Steam version of K2 I'd love to hear it.

I am the original author of this mod using assets that were free-to-use with crediting (which I did so). Every place that I have uploaded this mod (DeadlyStream, the Nexus, here) I uploaded myself.

Well, the original ice texture may have been good for the time, but not the fire texture.

In my opinion, everyone should use this mod. The original textures are not that great, but good enough for the time.

@smallturns ah yeah i understand your problem here, you see you need to get another piece of hardware to be able to see them, the hardware you need is called "glasses", you put them on your face and behind your ears and they make things clearer for those who are halfway to blind like you.

Nop i'am sorry mam but rather or not I am new to this modifing video games or just modynig stuff in genial baisness i'am afraid I still don't see the diffrenence between the old and the new texture you have up there even other game that support mods like this one dose I just cant tell the diffrenence between them.

To anyone still wondering. The ice texture should show up from the CryoBan Grenade, and the fire from Plasma Grenades and droid Flamethrowers, I'd assume.

This mod is causing my game to crash soon after creating a character. There is a little scene showing T3-M4 then it cuts to Kreia sleeping. I'm crashing during that transition.

Is there a specific grenade that shows as the modded Texture? Please I would like to know because so far as ive used many grenades the only one that comes close it is the Cryoban grenade, but that is what it is

These aren't force powers -- I just added a fire effect to force push as a private modification.

I like the fire but I think I prefer the original ice look.

Mod works great. Using TSLRCM, Improved Peragus Asteroids and this. Played for a little more than two hours. Good work, definite improvement over the original

simeon I had this and 4 other mods on that worked fine before hand and still had the crashing issue at the same point oswald did. So it isnt that.

Will definately sub once the 5 maximum mod limit (before crashes, etc.) is fixed.

Remember folks... no more than 5 mods at a time or your game will Crash. for most of you this is probably the issue you are having.

Game crashes frequently. Very good idea, but seems to not work.

The game gives me a black screen crash right when it's supposed to load subtitles and the scene of Kreia. While this mod is simple indeed, it's likely due to the resolution of it.

I'm really sorry for the trouble, this is a very strange bug to troubleshoot given the very simple nature of this mod.

Okay, I pushed out an update that doesn't do anything but remove some of the files that were unnecessary and went into the top level directory (fireandicehdreadme, preview.jpg). This is all I can think of that might be causing an issue after trying other workshop mods.

Also getting the crash where I cannot talk to NPCs. Cannot see what is causing this though. Also using TSLCRM from the workshop.

I use it with TSLRCM and I use these textures in KotOR 1. There should be absolutely no conflict with anything except other mods that change fire or ice graphics (which, as far as I know, simply don't exist right now).

Ok, I managed to fix my issues and I can play and talk to NPCs no problem with your mod installed.

Hmm, well, I duplicated the folder and I'm not having the crashing issue yet. Going to keep my eyes peeled. Thank you for the information.
