that isn't how the game works.
It wouldn't load half the addon data when loading it one way. There's some other unknown tomfoolery at play.

note to self: if u load it trough singleplayer everything goes missing textures apart from the stuff thats ingame

Well, if you don't understand this, then maybe it isn't very useful to you.
But you click that "Subscribe" button under the images, launch the game and wait for it to download.
Then you can use the ingame console and enter "Map tumtara" to load this map and look at your mods. (minus the " ofc)

the FAQ in the description also shows you how to enable the ingame console, in case you don't know how.

If anything changed since then, it wouldn't be because of the map but your system or game.

The same thing is happening to me. I have to close the game with the task manager because it freezes. This didn't happen before

I don't know why L4D 2 literally kicks me out of the game when I enter tumtara, I just want to see the mods I've put in the game

@bjy521deer Are you loading the map via main menu while using the nightmare hud?
According to a little testing that DrPhil and i did, doing just that causes the black screen. His mod somehow turns the entire screen black when a map loads a screen overlay. Which tumtara does when you load the map via main menu.

I could fix that, but at the same time. Its not my map that is causing the issue. Any map with screen overlay would be affected by that hud mod.

Last update was in january, so nothing ever changed.
I also uninstalled my local version and downloaded the workshop version.
There is no black screen on my end.

If there suddenly is one on your end, it can't be the map. because nothing changed since January

The map name's are all prefixed with "Tumtara"
So jsut using "Map Tumtara" lets you see all the maps. this addon specifically only has two maps. default and l4d1 player version.

i can not fix lag when its entirely based on the mods you loaded.
The game is from 2009. It doesn't need much to run smoothly.
But if you install too many (or too heavy) mods, it will bog down because it only allowed to use 4gigs of ram. :s

In other words, your machine or mods are causing this. Not the map.
Try using one of those maps that are dedicated for one use only, so that there's less stuff on screen.

my game lags horriblely with this mod installed it keeps lagging and its worse when you playing a campaign making it a pain to ignore the lag fixing this....or not would be nice

Not on any of these maps. There's nothing to test.
But you can use any map with a ledge and make the bots do nothing via nb_stop 1.

Personally i start rounds and use a keybound alias to disable the director and give myself god mode, then i use the command bound to a key to make bots braindead.
bind "x" "incrementvar nb_stop 0 1 1"

So you can press the key, turn the bots into plants, have a little hang on the balcony without ever falling off because of god mode. And if you wanna get up, either enable the bots again or use the command "Give health" or somesuch.

It would be easier to just replace the error model with another one that is less frightening.
I've done one that replaced it with an F-bomb, if that helps.
