Great mod. My only comment is that i'd be nice if the ATM could connect to a conveyor system. Playing with a modest inventory size, it'd be difficult to move hundred of cannisters of iron or stone between my ship and the ATM.

Otherwise pretty sweet, I really like that the ATM block is admin only for multiplayer. Helps to promote the use of trade stations and player interaction.

DaVinci, I made this from scratch, why on God's green Earth would I post the license to something I created?

I just checked and peculiarly everything is fine.... I don't know what sorcery it is, but the textures are normal for me.

You need to upgrade your mod a little.
The basic idea is cool and i jst play it on a dev server, but...

You should implement a database for exchange in real stuff.
to give the bank a credit and get what you want is not cool for doing buisness and trade.

If i am able to build a deposit station and someone come to buy or sell stuff, then they should only be abale to buy what i have and sell what i need.
An if i dont have enough credits to buy, or canister of ingots to sell,... now the rest should be clear to understand what i meant.

So far your idea is great and has a lot of potentional.

this is an awsome mod but its missing one thing, credits are usless unless you can make them go in a regular assembler like e-coin and make any parts off of pure credits it would give people more incentive to goto a way station to exchange minerals for credits

I would implement it on my server if that was done

After investigating it, The "Dissasemble All" Doesn't work. In order to decompress the canisters, you have to select the decompress and literally click on the canister to recieve ingots.

@ninja you need the right amount of cans before you can decom them. EX 75 Iron cans.

Zacrron, the core game doesn't support such a feature, albeit a plugin was heavily discussed but never went anywhere. That's why the ATM itself is an admin only block, to prevent people from plugging them on their ships or stations.

OMoo, no it cannot. Of course you can store the canisters and credits on a small ship.

One thing I would like to add, if possible could u make a secondary system that gives the atm an inventory to store purchased canisters for re-sale rather than just exchanging credits to get unlimited amounts of ect... and than have the atm mark up the re-sale items a bit to encourage private trade ...

@David - The Bug in question was one of those "blink and you missed it" events - apparently it was resolved the day after it first appeared; so my problem is largely over with. It was just I was probably among the first to even notice it's existance.

Well my problem is there's an existing bug when importing cargo-based facilities from creative to survival (since I don't host a DS it's difficult to get to the admin panel even though technically i am host) and it causes blocks that have been constructed in creative to remain endless in volume after the import to survival.

Another reason I made it an Admin only block is so that those who don't wish to use it don't have to, it also doesn't add much in terms of memory.

It is merely my opinion but I could see the uses of just the compressor functionality. But do you think you could make a version of x1 that doesn't require admin spawn of the ATM? My games are all between friends and it makes more sense to have it that way since everyone's pretty much in agreement anyway.

ATG Continued - You're right, making it an admin block was in part so that players are still forced to mine and work for what they get. Other considerations include player to player trade, players buying and selling ships or stations, meeting other players, recruitment, etc. The possibilities are endless when forcing players to say hello to each other, especially in a no fire zone ;)

ATG I'm glad you like it. I didn't add conveyor ports to the ATM for a few reasons, which should be kind of obvious. Mainly because if it were interconnected other users in the same station could cause a lot of issues, including theft. Unfortunately the conveyor option is standard to the Assembler type. I created a Commerce Port for "Sector Zero" with automagic doors and airlocks, I'll upload a blueprint (probably tomorrow), maybe it'll give you some ideas. Eventually I'd like it so that the "Bank" only has so much of everything and prices fluctuate based on world averages but because there are limits in the engine it is the way it is, for now, unless someone can write a plugin for Extender. Imagination must be used.

After some more testing I *think* understand why only admins should build it.

Players could basically stay in one location and mine an abudance of one type of ore and gain access to the other ores via the credit system conversion. So the risk/tedium of going to ATM locations helps balance this out.

Also, from an immersion perspective...where's the ATM storing all of these canisters that it exchanges for credits? Seems more realistic to have these at select bank locations with (imaginary) storage.

Took it out for a spin and really like it. Nice job. I am going to use this on my server.

Questions:
Whats the disadvantage/exploit with allowing all players instead of admin only, to be allowed to craft the ATM? Thinking out loud....If there are only designated places for the ATM, that would mean players would have to haul large amounts of expensive materials to these ATM/Bank locations for conversions. While it would make for some good piracy fun...some players might not like the risk and find it tedious (not me). It also gives the admin more work to manage these ATM sites.

The ATM control panel has an option to use conveyor system. Are there functional coveyor ports on the ATM?

I like the idea of this to promote trade in MP and as Mornedhel said keen should look at something like this for AI trade (when we get it)

Wow, this is brilliant! Keen needs to consider this concept when adding more AI to the game. It would be so awesome if you would be able to trade with friendly AI controlled stations.
That would add some Freelancer flavour ;)
