The key words here are "a little better" and "realistic. This mod is anything but. Some tweak in the mod are not recorded in the game, for example germanic archers have a range of 200 while basic archer units have a range of 150. this is only a 33% increase to range however if you check on the battle map germanic archers have well over DOUBLE the range of normal archers. since heavy shot is now OP, germanic archers can now snipe your general unit from across the map in one volley.
Archers in vanilla were reidiculously bad, and needed a buff, but this was to much. It'd be nice if there was something between this and vanilla.

Thank you for this, I was so upset when I was trying out attila units in custom battle and found the best hunnic horse archers did pathetically. This mod has reinvigorated the combat system for me! My request, as I have been perusing the comments here, is a modification of another request. These missile units are too powerful against testeudos, but maybe the solution is giving units better missile block chance, especially in these formations, so as to make there be a scaling system of which units can survive missile volleys. That way the missiles still wreck the stuff of any unshielded unit. Thank you again!

hey dude i was talking to a friend and he said somthing intresting... it was something on the terms of makeing it were not all the archers had acess to heavy shots and the other shots so tier 1 archers and such dont use heavy shot on elite units and destroy them which i this is bs so if you can make it were only certain archers had acess to these types of arrows and have the types of arrows not to powerful but still better then vanilla

hey can you change the muzzle velocity of the arrows and make them more realistic so i dont shoot my own units :) would help alot and make the game better and battles better

Don't think you have updated it yet but going on what Ragnar said,

Could you perhaps leave crossbows as they always were since they were already very OP, drop the range of lower level bows, and also drop the AP ability of their heavyshot, since now it is very possible for a unit of tier 1 mercenary germanic archers to waste a unit of Legio Coms in testudo from 200 yards away over buildings.

Other than that the changes have been great and finally make Germanic Tier 2 Archers a worthy edition to an army roster, its so good to be able to finally cause some damage with them, they do seem a little op with heavy shot but better abit OP than completely under powered how they were before.

cross bows however just keep it the same, and maybe make regular bows the same distance.
and if its possible if you could make the arrows more visible as they fly

well I dont know if you ever played Rome 1, but yes I would imagine twice the distance, and if you could lower the damage just a tiny bit

So how far did you whant them to be able to shoot, do you whant it to be twice the distance or should I just make it the exact rangfe of real bows. Its up to you because I make the mods for you guys, so I really dont mind either way.

P.S. I can start as soon as you tell me what you whant the range to be. :)
