wouldnt separating the centralization-decentralization values be kinda strange? id rather keep as it is, maybe add some other value (like autonomous vs absolutist or whatever) to represent subject loyalty n stuff (so you can have a centralized nation while still having some autonomy for certain regions, idk)

make a lot of sense honestly, one another post I saw is that there should be nobility gaining some benefits for non-centralized provinces, but those goods produced/tax collect should not go in to black hole like it today.

Very nice ideas. However, i think without broad economic rebalance this will only lead to even worse economic snowballing. Any plans to make sure that using this mod does not result in even more money and easier game? Thanks!

Hi all,

@MosulVet: Thanks! So we are not trying to bypass vanilla's control system. What we want is to allow the player to decide where to spend their control: around their capital just like in vanilla, including the rural locations. Or around their realm, in which case it's centralized around seats of power: towns, but mainly cities.

@牛奶大魔王: thanks! done ;)

@umbaretz, thank you! cities bonuses remain untouched. In fact this does NOT modify their control, rather it makes them a source of power, but ONLY when you select the polycentric monarchy reform. Adding the royal court/audiencia real adds another 10% proximity source to that location (they can only be built in cities and if polycentric monarchy is on).

An idea to make decentralization worth it is very cool, and I also have been pondering on what can be done, and your solution seems quite elegant.

Can you please clarify, have you modified the default city bonus for control?

So, let's say we have a city infinetely far fwom capital, with the reform it would have
Control = +20 from core + 10 from city and + 20 from reform = 50 (and +5 from temple?

Will it combine with lieutenancy in a region different from capital so you have +45% proximity source?

If you want any suggestions - instead of further increasing loyalty of subjects, which can be quite situational - you may increase prosperity or development growth. (which in turn will decrease proximity cost through development, but will take a long time)

Kinda wish republics and theocracies could get a similiar government reform or buildings

Much needed, thank you. I'm curious about the rural area malus - is that a balance thing? I'm not sure if it's needed?
