My apologies, I've been away for a few days so I've only just read this message. If what you're saying is the case, it means I've uploaded the wrong file. I double checked all the images were working before I rolled it out, meaning I had done the "r-" part for the newly created players, but I did have backups that weren't up to date, so that's most likely what I've uploaded by accident. I will update the link once I've got the correct file.

On a side note, I'm hoping to have the full release done by the end of this week!

I had the same issue with the facepack not working, did some digging/ testing and found the issue, so thought id share with you

The issue is with the config file. Now i had some IDs come up as different to what was displayed in the config, but the main issue was newly created players need to have "r-" added before the ID. This is why players like Gerrard have the picture displayed correctly, as he is already in the game, but others like Pele dont, as he is a new creation.

eg. Pele ID (in my game at least) is 2002042490 (note this ID was different in the config, i changed it to match my game, unsure if this is a general issue or not with the ID's)
in the config this should changed to r-2002042490

The config was:
<record from="Pele" to="graphics/pictures/person/2002042490/portrait"/>
change to
<record from="Pele" to="graphics/pictures/person/r-2002042490/portrait"/>
and this fixes the issue

Oh, that’s strange.
I uninstalled the game, deleted all packs and the database, then reinstalled the game and this mod only, but there are still quite a few missing faces.

Am I supposed to place the facepack in Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\graphics?

For example, I have the faces for Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, but not for Denis Law or George Best. It seems that very old players, such as Carlos Alberto, Pelé, and Jairzinho, do not have faces.

I have fully tested the facepack and there's no issues. You most likely have something conflicting running alongside it, such as another facepack or another database that is conflicting the player ID's.

@OIC, If you have other facepacks installed or other databases running alongside this one, it can conflict. My recommendation is move your other files somewhere else and run the facepack I've provided on its own.

Roy Keane will be back in the full release, i'm assuming he was already part of the FM24 database when I made this and has been removed for FM26, so unfortunately I'll have to add him back in from scratch.

As for the facepack, it's most likely that you have something running alongside it that is messing around with the player ID's. I have checked through every single player before I released the facepack and they were all working on my side. Unfortunately, 1 player ID clash can mean a large portion of the facepack is disrupted, the only ones not affected usually being those that haven't been created from scratch.

I'll need more solid information than what you've provided in order to fix something. Telling me there are 2 of the same player doesn't round it down much.

I have done a 369 player shortlist, so I'm fully aware that some players are unfortunately missing, but these will only be picked up as I'm completing the full database. The reason they're missing is pretty simple, it's because those players were part of the games database (edited by me) on FM24 and are no longer part of FM26, so I will have to create those players from scratch in this database.

I can't tell you when the database will be fixed (released), i wish I could, but i have a full time job and a wife, this is just a side hobby when I have time.

Love this, when will this be finished? Roy Keane still not in it. Also some of the facepacks dont seem to be working.. Tried even changing their name to their ID and didn't work. Love the work you are doing

There are 2 of the same player, some players are not visible in FM, I looked at all of them, there is an error, when will you fix it?

Just a little update on things. I have completed the shortlist and after some research, I've also figured how the facepacks work this year, so I plan to release both at the same time once I've finished the facepack. I'll post a link in here when they're done.

As I've mentioned, this is only a BETA release, just for people to have a mess around, but I was also hoping some people would recognise issues that I may miss. Cafu is one of those issues as he was in the FM24 edition. Don't worry, he will be added back in for the full release.

There will be a full list of the players when I release the completed database. I just put this out as a BETA for those who wanted to have a mess around really. It was my database from FM24 that I've managed to transfer over and edit, but it does have its issues.

And I roamed through your previous lists.. I couldn't find Cafu? He would be my choice for the best RB of all time, is he part of your list?

It's not that it's brimming with Danish top tier players as for other nations, and understandable you pick those 3 - but there's a couple of more to consider:

- Allan Simonsen (The only Dane to win the Ballon d'or - surprisingly enough)

- Preben Elkjær

- Frank Arnesen (He was considered one of the best in his era, and he was a focal point in the Danish Dynamite, and won the Champions League with PSV)

- Morten Olsen (Probably the best Danish CB, 3 entries in the world XI: 1984, 1985, 1986)

- Niels Poul "Tist" Nielsen (Legendary striker for his time, and still holds the top score record for the Danish national team)

- Carl Aage Præst (An actual legend of Juventus and a defining character in Seria A at his time. Probably the first real big Danish top tier talent. world XI 1947)

- Søren Lerby (One of the most highly regarded CM at his time. He was also keyplayer in the Danish Dynamite and also won the Champions League with PSV)

For those curious about the realism improvement, I'm going to add wages to the players that reflect the clubs that they play for. One particular example, I've noticed Rory Delap at Carlisle is on 86k per week, whilst the highest paid player below him is only on 3k per week. I've also noticed players like Kenny Dalglish only earning £460 per week at Celtic, which at 22 years old is extremely unrealistic.

If you can think of any further improvements I could make for the full release, please don't hesitate to ask

@driekvanderaa Unfortunately I won't be doing that as I'm already limited for time that I get to spend doing stuff like this. If you wanted to, I wouldn't mind you dissecting this database to only have what you want in it for yourself, that's not an issue.
