@Praetorian_INTP: It's not unrealistic. All it is, is a covered power shaft. Supported by the diagonal beams on each end, and covered with hay. Nothing unrealistic about it.

Not a bad idea.
But kind of unrealistic, on the 1-wide rooftop! (left side of the picture)
Other than that... this would seem like a nice, aesthetically pleasing setup, to have windmills placed at the top of buildings, preferrably at the front or back edge, thus incorporating it into your living quarters.
It's kind of inconsistent, anyway, how many buildings DO transmit power in this game [on its own, but even more so], when compared to, that roofs CANNOT do the same . . .
(Ceterum censeo: we need more decoration, anyway ... including more roof variants ! )
