when the mod crashed the game, it just silently closed a second after the mods started loading, first from my friend, and a couple of days later from me.

I also just updated the files to be just patches to edit and add values. Since this was my 2nd mod made when I was still new to modding (I'm still quite new), some files were indeed a bit of duplicates with different values inside.
However, I was still able to play the game without anything crashing on my end with the old files.

At the minimum, could you tell me what happened before the crash occurred? Did it happen upon start up or upon execution of an ability, etc?

ngl, I have no idea what may be causing crashes on your end. I just checked on my end and I think I would have been crashing as well if it was the case, especially if I was in the middle of testing out other mods.
The only coatlicahead_base I am aware of in the mod is the monstertype file but there was no crashing on my end.
I just edited to .patch files to see if it changes anything.

Mod need to be updated

in the adaptation for Gic, "coatlicahead_base" is present twice, once as a prototype, and the other just on the way to something (probably to a Png.)

This patch seems to be causing crashes. Likely because the Coatlica race recently had an update? Perhaps it's only on my end.

Bite attack changed to ews_melee_thrust and base damage lowered to 70. Accessories dealing in increasing thrust damage will be required to increase Bite's damage.

Fixed breath attacks hitting like a warm breeze against enemies. Now you can hit em like you actually have a biological flamethrower.
