@The Lost Cake to make things more seamless. the knick knacks now automatically disappear when the table under them is removed, so they're now a seamless part of the environment

Think i did report before but i found it the first time on a save i screwed with too much. From what little i recall, i think it actually uses anomalies system but that assumption is based on before odyssey, I'll ask on that mod from here, sorry for the rants here and thanks for being patient. I'm not easy to get along with when i start asking things >_> autism, hard to understand things.

@Nimn that's been reported before. the problem is, I don't know why. the knick knacks always placed on the map the pawn currently is on, I've tested things like the odyssey submaps and those work fine. I assume multi floors is hijacking the function used to get which map a pawn is on in a way that causes an incompatibility? as I've said, no idea

Ok a confirmed incompatibility with the multi floors mod. Anything placed with this mod ends up on the main level only, regardless of if the table is a floor above or below. No idea how, but it happens. Works fine otherwise, just that one incompatibility on positioning. Please add an update if possible, no biggie if not.

Few suggestions if I may: I have a table in a Nursery room, maybe the breastfeeding mothers that sit on it could leave some knick knack and a childcaring colonists could leave a baby bottle?

Pliers / wrench / screwdrivers / bunch of wires / etc on the green workshop linkables - they're usually flat even in retextures and always empty. Hairbrush / hand mirror / planter with a bonsai or flower on Bed dresser linkable - similar to the green workshop one always flat and empty. Glass of water / book / magazine on a Bed side table linkable.

Really loving this mod, such small thing, but it brings so much "lived in" feel to the usual sterile rooms. Thanks!

Could it be that colonist could add 1 knick knack per bed in a bedroom? Or ideally, 1 per colonist sleeping there? Double bedrooms and particularly barracks only getting one item feels harsh

@Klo that wouldn't be difficult to implement but there simply isn't enough knick knacks in the mod to make seperating them into tech levels worthwhile
@Peerington one pawn is allowed to decorate once every decoration interval, which defaults to two days and can be changed in the settings

Love the mod but agree with @VoidLord would like an option to attach knick knack to building and maybe add 1 (or)more knick knacks to each colonist for them to place but still have a max cap.

One little problem I saw: If the building the knick knack is on is deconstructed or uninstalled, the knick knack doesn't disappear, or move with the building.

this mod is amazing! i was looking for more ways to make my colonists feel alive, it really helps to see them interact with their environment in a way that feels more emotional and passive. i think this is a very subtle and yet smart way to do that, it's added something i didn't even think of that i needed so badly

@zombiesocks the box isn't special in any way, it's just one of the defs in the list of knick knacks. moreover, I've seen plenty of screenshots of other knick knacks being placed around just fine. you might just be unlucky

I absolutely love this mod, but I do have one criticism: I'm really tired of The Box. When I think of decorating their rooms, a single plain box doesn't really add much visually or give much personality. I'm probably just unlucky, but so far almost all my pawns have chosen a box and it's just kind of disappointing after what I really wanted from this mod. Maybe the box could have a lower spawn rate or spawn in something that isn't a bedroom? Am I just unlucky?

Ah okay lol. I just thought it made for a neat reference to those scenes where two characters are alone and they sweep everything off of a flat surface for some purpose they're never quite keen to show on television for some reason.

The first content update for Knick Knacks is now out! This update brings new knick knacks and fixes for more edge cases.
Changelogs:

Added 6 new knick knack sprites.
You can now mark tables as ineligible for clutter by giving them the SEX_InvalidSurfaceForClutter building tag. By default, this is patched onto the counters from Vanilla Furniture Expanded.
Fixed an oversight on how I was counting knick knacks per table.

Finally a decoration mod even someone like me who has the creativity of a coconut when it comes to decorating bases, can get value out of. ..without filling my furniture tab with 87 objects i'll only use 2-3 of!

ace mod, however slight issue I encountered, when the colonists placed an item on a table within a quest building (one of the ones with the monument markers) it triggered a warning that the quest would fail due to an unauthorised item within the building.
