I’ve already found and fixed the monster that had this issue, but there might still be some cases I missed.
It’s also possible that your version isn’t up to date.
Please try unsubscribing and then subscribing again to make sure the latest version is applied.

Could you tell me which monster it is? It seems the problem happened because the size value was accidentally set to 0 due to a typo when I modified the stats.
If you disable the mod, you’ll be able to identify the monster. Once you let me know, I can fix it immediately.

Do the named monsters cause bugs? I can't see their name and status in combat,neither can select them as skill target. After they are defeated the combat doesn't end and the only way to stop is retreat. I doubt that it's a compability issue cuz I also added the Dice To Die and HBM mods.
But the issue still occurs unless I remove this mod,that's so confusing.

Are “狼言monster strengthen” and “monster strengthen” different mods?
I haven’t played the former, but it’s much more hardcore than the latter.
This mod’s difficulty is tuned on the assumption that you’re using powerful modded heroes, numerous quirks, and highly potent trinkets.
If you’re curious, I recommend backing up your save file and giving it a try.

how does this mod difficulty compared to 狼言monster strengthen?
pretty sure they are not compatible since 狼言made a lot of monster change
so I have to choose one of those mod

Due to the way the Darkest Dungeon mod system works,
if another mod with a higher priority also modifies a boss,
the changes from this mod will not take effect

Additionally, since modifying monster skills and stats must be done individually for each monster,
the adjustments in this mod apply only to vanilla monsters and will not affect monsters added or altered by other mods

Does this only work on vanilla monsters or modded monsters as well? Also I would assume stuff like chos boss reworks dont work? thx in advance for clarification

I believe this mod will feel too overwhelming for some, too easy for others, and just right for a few.
In other words, it’s not designed to satisfy everyone

I tuned the difficulty to a level where I personally felt a proper sense of tension and danger.
Since there are probably other players using similarly powerful hero mods, I decided to share it publicly instead of keeping it private

If the balance feels right for you, that’s great
But if it feels excessive, you can safely uninstall the mod at any time
The only caveat is that any buffs or increased HP already applied to monsters during a battle won’t revert when the mod is removed mid-encounter

Yes, the issue occurred in the Apprentice and Veteran difficulties.
After checking, it seems that as described in the mod a higher-tier version of the Flesh boss appeared, but the game did not recognize defeating it as quest completion.
A temporary fix has been applied, and the update has been completed.

yes I defeated it on the Apprentice difficulty,and the dungeon doesn't finish after that.
so does it mean that the problem won't appear if I defeated it on the Champion difficulty?

Does “the quest to kill the Flesh doesn’t complete” mean that the dungeon doesn’t finish even after defeating it,
or that the quest itself never appears?
If it’s the former, we’ll need to investigate further,
but if it’s the latter, then it’s worth checking for possible quest availability issues.

As I mentioned, the spectrum of power is simply too wide. Some characters are similar to, or even weaker than, vanilla ones but others can crush everything they encounter into dust
That’s why there’s been feedback requesting a nerf adjustment
However, directly nerfing this mod would go against its original design intent it would shift the balance too far toward one end of the wide power spectrum
For that reason, a separate version of the mod was created instead

Both mods function independently
They’re linked only because I wanted to address the feedback I received regarding balance adjustments

This mod only changes monster stats, but since other mods may also alter stats, it’s recommended to give this one a higher load priority.

It doesn’t modify anything else besides monster stats, so it should be fully compatible with other mods.
You can also remove it at any time without issues, since it doesn’t add quests, trinkets, quirks, or any other content.

Finally, this mod is recommended only if you find the game too easy due to overpowered modded heroes or trinkets.

a couple of questions does load order matter and does the less edition need to be loaded above this one or do i only need one of the two and also is it safe to remove mid campaign?

The mod you recommended, Vanilla Monster Help, seems to focus on enhancing monster behavior patterns to make vanilla gameplay slightly more challenging, rather than actually strengthening their stats
So it feels like its intention is different from this mod, which enhances stats, patterns, and effects altogether

It also applies to the Farmstead.
