Endlich mal ne Herausforderung, nach 6200 Stunden UBOAT :P
6 200 watch - сool!
Thank you.
September - Around 10AM
Very thick fog, relatively calm waters so I guess the wind wasn't too strong.
I could only see the smoke stacks at the edges of the periscope due to a graphical bug but I could not see the ship itself through the fog, but I'd say It was around 2,000 m from the ship that detected me.
Tested it. Amazing mod.
Thanks for the feedback)
Unfortunately, it's not possible to create all possible weather conditions through the command line. Also, the submarine detection parameter in bad weather is linked to the submarine detection parameter when the enemy is in search mode.
I need detailed information about fog for additional mod customization:
- Day or night?
- What is the wind speed?
- At what distance was the submarine detected?
Although, I'm being detected way too early in fog, I can't even see them but they can see me.
Thank you)
Блин @ [1 UF] , жаль что новую компанию качать нужно ,... а так интересный мод.
К сожалению так сделана игра и это зависит от файлов, в которые внесены изменения.

BTW: will this mod be compatible to the Additional Ship and Aircraft mods by Link?
I looked at the Link mod. Both mods should be compatible.
No.
Have you tested your mod with incombination with this mod, which reloads some of the Data Sheets and thus doesn't require a new career?
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3310038057
Interesting, but I won't be starting a new career just for this.
Ок.
16 Snorkel detection during the day, at night without a moon, and at night with a moon.
The average daytime value is about 1,800 m.
20 Zener periscope detection during the day, at night without moonlight, and at night with moonlight, (Type 7).
The average daytime value is about 1,300 m.
30 Commander's periscope detection during the day, at night without a moon, and at night with a moon (Type 7).
The average daytime value is about 1,200 m.
Enemies can't see periscopes on (Type 2) boats. A script would be needed to solve this problem...!
The mod "Keep your periscope wet!" changes:
the visibility range and periscope elevation on (Type 7) submarines.
the visibility range of periscopes on (Type 2) submarines. However, the enemy still can't see periscopes on (Type 2) submarines.
Yes.
So you recommend waiting for the next update(s) to Xryas mid before starting a new career with both your mods?
- In the original, visibility range for military and merchant ships is the same, averaging around 5,000 meters during the day in good weather.
- For aircraft, it's around 8,000 meters on average.
- Periscopes are visible, on average, at about 200 meters during the day in good weather.
- Boats are visible, on average, at about 300 meters at night.
Yes, I'm talking about that mod Hardcore noise solution. Xryas and I are actually working on mods together.
Yes, this is the mod 111 is talking about. 111 and I work on mods together.
Also
Quote: "I recommend waiting for the Hydroacoustics mod." What mod are you referring to? "Noise Solution" by Xryas?
Save game compatible I hope?
Unfortunately, no. I'll have to start a new campaign.
I recommend waiting for the Hydroacoustics mod. Then start a new campaign...
BTW: will this mod be compatible to the Additional Ship and Aircraft mods by Link?
I need to check out the latest version of his mod.
I'll give you an answer later...
UZO - thanks for the comment, I'll correct it in the description...
My native language isn't English, so trusted the translator)
- The average visual detection range of a submarine is about 10,000 meters. Each ship has its own values, taking into account the height of the bridge watch.
- The visual detection range of a submarine from the side (farthest), from the bow (closest), and in a positional position (closest) varies, of course.
- The visual detection range by an enemy team based on smoke from funnels on the horizon is from 20,000 meters and closer, and visually from 13,000 meters and closer.
All values are given for good weather.
how or is this going to effect ( darker nights )
As far as I remember, after patch 2024, the developers changed the visual detection range of a submarine at night without a moon from 1500 meters to 300 meters. Correct me if I'm wrong. Visual detection range during the day and night is only one parameter, so changing daytime visibility automatically changes nighttime visibility. The realistic visual detection range of a submarine on a moonless night in good weather is within 300 meters.
Will that tend to increase/decrease chances of getting detected by the enemy?
Will that increase/decrease detection between bow and side?
Will my crew have better/worse chances of detecting an enemy?
Etc.
thanks again
BTW: it's called an UZO (U-Boot Zieloptik i.e. uboat targeting optics)
Ouzo is what you get after dinner in a Greek restaurant 😉
