hey, is this compatible with project cook? couldnt find anything sorry if i missed it

It worked fine when I was wandering around other places, but it froze when I got near a large supermarket. When it froze, my save file was corrupted, so I manually backed it up and tested the mods one by one to figure out what was wrong. The console.txt file only showed errors in KI5 and the Gun Add mod, which were unrelated. Disabling VFE mods also fixed the froze error.

Just to check back in and clarify the error that Chocomeow was getting ~ there appears to be a limit of 10,000 modded items you can add to the game. VFX alone adds around 1500, which is 15% of that limit. Just be mindful, it can be hard to reach this limit unless you're adding in a whole bunch of mods that add a tonne of items each.
In context to other mods that also add food, it's still very hard to reach that limit, even with all of them - you'll have to be adding every collectible and food mod out there to reach it.

I dont know exactly. I can load the save file with the mod active and get a screenshot of the error, and also get the console.txt, with the details if you want to check it. Im not a Computer Person, so I can barely understand what it says on the console file :S
I dont know how to send them to you without a public link, so if you want to check, send a friend invite and I will send the files via Drive or something? Let me know

Chocomeow - what error are you getting? I've tested alongside Sapph's and other food mods with no issues, including a long playthrough, which is about 2 months in

I think 2 options: it can be related to the number of extra-mod items reaching the limit. I had a similar problem on B41 with Pokeapocalypse Mod, where it added a huge amount of items.
2º Option: I also have a bunch of mods that add extra food (like Sapph's Cooking). Maybe VFE conflicts with some of the other food mods?

uchezone / Chocomeow - I don't think it's VFX causing the crash/errors, I've been able to load into a new game, existing save and add it to an existing save without any crashes, errors, or such. The only thing that was updated was the translation files, this won't make your game crash or give errors :spiffo:

Same, I added the mod but it gives me an error and doesnt let me load my save.

I added a lot of mods all at once and they kept crashing during the game, so I looked them up one by one and found out it was because of this mod. What's the problem? Is it because of the computer's performance?

i set my perishable and non-perishable food loot rarity to insane (0.05) because i play on 10 years later and i still find many of these food items, especially the alcohol beverages in random barns. can you reduce the spawn chance to match vanilla items rarity or maybe add new loot rarity settings for this mod? i love the mod so thank you.

what's funny is that we're first world gamers who are excited about a mod granting us a selection of food that isn't available to us in real life anymore.

@buka2 - rarity is based on vanilla settings, the nutrition of non-packaged items won't show without the nutritionist trait, that's just normal base game stuff :spiffo:

Also, once some food is cooked it doesnt show calorie count anymore. like a bag of chickpeas will show 4000 calories but when you make it into chilli the chilli doesnt have a calorie count?

Is anyone else getting an issue when opening canned foods, the item just disappears? Would it be an issue with CleanUI? or Better Crafting UI?

@Zak - no conflicts with either, they all work well alongside each other :spiffo:
@timidr - the benefit is protein, which if you maintain around 150 (from memory), will give you a 1.5x boost to fitness gains :spiffo:

Mmmh. I have been thinking, this mod is already quite perfect, but we do have sandwiches in game, but not much to make them... How about sandwich meat? Pre-sliced packs for all our sandwich needs! Simply an idea, this is not a request! This mod is already amazing as is! <3

Hehe, the only thing that comes to mind that I haven't seen is the Christmas Tree Brownies, but as the sort of crazed enthusiast who buys ten boxes every time they come out, I can attest that they doubly don't exist. They were only invented in 1999, and you can only find them on store shelves between late October and early January.

How tragic for my survivor, to be doomed to live in a world without them. Mind, they're doomed to live a sorrowful existence without pizza rolls or tacos regardless, so there's not much to be done for it. The end of the power always makes me feel melancholy because I know it means that whatever I have in my freezer at home is the last bit of the old world that'll ever exist. If my character ever wants to have another cheeseburger they have to raise an entire cow and grow wheat to do it.

I'm a huge fan of Little Debbie's, in particular Cosmic Brownies are just completely my jam. I've loved them ever since I was a little kid. So as I was walking around in the newly-powerless world with my character looking through a gas station, I audibly gasped aloud when I found one on the shelves.

I need an accompanying map mod that contains like a Little Debbie's factory or distribution center which I can go raid to keep my survivor fat and happy until the end comes. I really love the variety of little snacks and such that are available.

Sure, they're not mechanically that different than the already-extant twinkie-knockoff you can find in the game, but it makes the world feel a bit more real to run into something I could go down to my cupboard and have right now.

First, i love your mod, i really needed that in my life!
Also one of my favorite thing is the drink mixes and pitchers, i love them.Though when i consume the drink (mixed in a pitcher), either transferred in a glass or by itself, it doesn't quench thirst or hunger :<

@Meryk - fixed this one up, any recipe that required poached or boiled egg now just requires a cooked egg.

@MatuLivesTT - I've tested this one out, the only glass bottle you can fill with gasoline to use as a molotov is an empty wine bottle (any flavor) as they have the required 1L capacity. For alcohol, beer and wine cannot be used as molotovs, just like base game.

@Meryk - my apologies! I am using poached egg from the base game in this recipe, but I didn't know there wasn't a recipe to poach an egg! I'll get that fixed up first thing tomorrow :spiffo:

There appears to be no way to make eggs. I'm not ruling out user error, but when trying to make the Full English there's no recipe for poached or scrambled eggs.

Hi, I’d like to report an issue.
It seems there’s a problem when I try to prepare rice or pasta in a saucepan or cooking pot using the crafting menu. I can’t add any more ingredients — the only option I get when I right-click is “Eat.” I also can’t use it as a base item when using Project Cook mod to add more ingredients or spices.

I’ve tried changing the mod load order, but that doesn’t seem to help. Other foods work fine, though.
