@Wolfskralle no, the crates are stocked up. its weird because on my new map the resupply works for all of the emplacements. i will look into this within the next few days and see what the issue is.

just noticed the ammo crate in question is a soviet ammo crate, even on the finnish map. Maybe thats the problem?

@Wolfskralle i saw a few posts somewhere that apparently the devs changed something a patch or two ago and now they work weird like that. it may be a bug since i played yesterday on my newest map and noticed the same thing and after i unmanned the cannon it started replenishing the ammo so that may be a workaround

for some reason the 210 H/17 and the heavy mortars dont get resupplied by the ammo supplies near them, any idea why?

@Krieg Guardsmen did you add the text to the map file like instructed and made sure you have the spawn menu mod activated? preferably add it to all map versions that you want to use it on.

@Saint Tahm Sounds like you wont enjoy my new map that im working on since its Twice as wide as fort slava hehe jk :steamlaughcry:, but i knew people would like a less wide version of it so those will be present too. i dont have any 'one lane' maps planned as of yet because i tend to start making a map once a really cool idea pops into my head and those tend to be on a bigger scale.

Currently, most of the maps have two "Lanes" so to speak, like Fort Slava is divided by the road in the middle, and each lane is one side of the road. It's very wide and is hard to fully cover as a single player. I get these are meant to be played with more people.

By thinner, more of a one lane idea.

I'm loving all the maps :D I am grateful and enjoying all the effort that was put in! :D

I wanted to ask, are there any plans to make a "Thinner" map, so to speak? I mostly play singleplayer and the defending AI is pretty bad :) If not, then I'll enjoy what it's made to the fullest :D

@Sebaak Yes, i am only making maps with all the DLCs because i get way more content. Maps like 'Fort Slava' and 'Operation Skyfall' would not have been possible without DLCs.

@Surge Brass yeah the ai just does that idk why and i dont think i can do anything during the map making process to make them behave differently.

Got the 155 working. One other quibble I just recalled after starting another match - if you play with AI on your team, they all gather around the HQ position, which wouldn't be so bad if literally EVERY UNIT they spawned didn't go there. This creates a huge and very laggy spot on the map.

@Surge Brass im glad you enjoyed the map, i try to one up myself with map design from my previous works and i think this will show in my next map that im currently working on :steammocking: (it will be done sometime within the next 3-4 weeks)

As for the 155mm gun position i cant add a door on the back because of the two 5cm bunkers right behind it that are actually 1 big connected bunker that i blocked off the middle with mountains. easiest way is to direct control a few soldiers behind the gun and they will seat it better

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was this hella fun. I didn't use the planes, but the design of the map is brilliant. Love the defense layers and fortifications, especially the pre-existing vehicles and guns. It made defense a blast since I could get way more bang for my buck with infantry crewing both, while still having enough points to get actual units in.

My only complaints are that the AI pathfinding bugs out with the 155mm gun position next to the 5cm one (I think a door to the gun like the 5cm has would be a good idea), and that the train cannon can't be restocked with ammo. The same is true of it on the other map with it on the Workshop (The Sevastopol one), and the guy who made it said it was due to an ammo update or something like that when I posted about it in that map's comments.

Overall though, a legit phenomenal map. Extremely fun and rewarding. An 8v8 is laggy but legit feels like a last stand against a massive enemy force.

@Hetzer im planning on making a D-DAY map but it wont come out till january or february because i want the British DLC to come out first since it will include new fortifications etc. i doubt i can do an underground fortress as i already have a backlog of maps i want to make. currently working on a massive german defensive trench line and it will be my 2nd biggest map i think

@980713larry i dont think i can make it a 1000 units longer as that alone is more length than my biggest map but i can add 2 or 3 times the current distance from enemy spawn to the first line of defence

@Destin Hello, by “1000 units” I mean the same units used in the map editor (e.g., 500×500). Without the mod, artillery range is ~200 units; with it, ~1000 units. Also, the fortress artillery issue was my mistake due to faction limits — sorry for the confusion.

@Destin Hello, I would like to clarify what I meant by the 1000-unit distance.
When manually operating the artillery in third-person overhead aiming mode, the reticle shows a range value. Without the range-extension mod, the artillery range is about 200 units. With the extension mod installed, it becomes about 1000 units. This is the distance I was referring to.
If my explanation is still unclear, please let me know and I’ll try to describe it in more detail.
Also, regarding the artillery inside the fortress: I realized that the issue is actually related to faction limitations, so that part was my oversight. My apologies for the confusion.

@980713larry if you can provide an example picture using my map how much distance exactly is a '1000' units and tell me which map version to add an extended version for as it would take too long for all of them then i will add that one.
i dont know what you are referring to regarding the artillery thing as i made sure each faction has atleast 1 dedicated artillery gun up on the hill

Hello, could you please move the attackers’ spawn point 1000 units further back?
I have a range-extension mod installed, so attackers are immediately focused and destroyed as soon as they spawn. Although they have spawn protection during which I cannot do anything, after the protection ends destroyed armored units become stuck at the spawn point.
Secondly, there are no artillery pieces inside the fortress and it is not possible to construct any there.
