Yes, that is exactly what this tool will allow you to do

Wait, does this mean I can finally blacklist stuff like the ski mask, hockey mask, etc so I never see those while still allowing appearance to otherwise just be random? Ideally I would also like to blacklist certain hairstyles as well.

@Mr. Tarzan: This was a comment from Zelfana (not sure if it was blocked or not, Zelfana sees no issues but as the author I see the comment as "blocked", so reposting here in case this helps you and you hadn't seen it)

Do you maybe have Free the Hood adding dupes of those?

"FreeTheHood_Content.ARC_Helmet_C1_Delta_M" etc.

Hrm, in theory that should be right. I will have to dig deeper to see if I can help you fix this

I don't understand if I am doing this wrong. I want try removing the default Delta helmets, so I added the following lines to the mod config
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C1_Delta_M"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C1_Delta_F"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C2_Delta_M"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C2_Delta_F"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C3_Delta_M"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C3_Delta_F"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C4_Delta_M"
+PartArchetypesToDisable="Helmet_C_Delta.ARC_Helmet_C4_Delta_F"

Yet I still see these items ingame. Am I doing it wrong or is there something else I don't understand?

if some hero could make a version that 'removes' all of the vanilla hairs that would be awesome

To find an Archetype to lock:

1) Open the XComContent.ini file of the cosmetic mod you want to hide content from
2) Search through the listed +BodyPartTemplateConfig items until you find the cosmetic you want to hide
3) Find the part of that line that reads ArchetypeName="<Package>.<Archetype>"
4) Add to this mod's XComContent.ini file +PartArchetypesToDisable="<Package>.<Archetype>"

This looks extremely useful! But how would someone unversed in XCOM 2 modding find out what exactly is the Archetype of a certain cosmetic item?
