Recommended to unsub and resub to the mod to make sure steam updates the mod to cheek it's updated cheek if a Strageos diplo action still shows up with a Strageos subject if not congrats the mod is updated to the latest build!

A lot has changed in the mod, the DESC has been updated, the mod should now be in a much better state than before and flow better + some bloat on conditions or Diplo Actions have been fixed (if you don't see them anymore it means it's not viable with the Subject you are looking at.

Updated Subjects for better balance, also made it so if you release Egypt as a Subject and event will give you the option to make them a Warden over Egypt or a Pronoia.

trebizond now available with the mod all content should show up for both, the events which activate the empire system cheeks for a player between the two tags and gives it to the player!

also they gain claims on all roman provinces :p

mandate is there to bestow titles and get reforms, the more you build up the better but you have to core and state stuff, uploaded a vid to the steam page which goes over the mod from the latest update and fixes from a few hours ago for proper details

should be fixed now, at start you lose like 0.20 untill you hit 49 then gain untill 51, as long as you core stuff you take and make them states should be fine, as you start completing missions you will gain more, and as you give subjects titles you will slowly increase the gain, there is no longer any negative for low mandate and no more stab drops

i think the negative effects wouldnt be so bad, if you didnt have -2 mandate gain every month for like 20+ years, then if you conquer a lot of territory ive got it to -10 a months

Byhy11: I did modify things but seems some things didn't save..... like the effects of negative mandate :/ mandate is not suppose to effect anything, yet it still was, I have now solved that, also it looks like there was a stupid event which cheeked for being the empror that gave stab hit early on... and triggers event chains I have now too removed that...

the mandate wouldn't be that bad if you could get rid of the war exhaustion, maybe some of the earlier missions or add a event for when you 100% the ottomans that gives a temp modifier that reduces war exhaustion faster. the negative meritocracy from non states is also super crushing.

the biggest problem is the spiral, omce you get to negative stab, you get devastation throughout every province tanking mandate

I do plan to make a patch for vanilla at a later date + BT, there are only 3 files which may cause conflicts otherwise the mod is nearly already Vanilla compatible: Governments due to how adding a government works, and Religion file and static modifiers, there are some mentions to regions and provinces in MT for triggered modifiers, and the mission file edits to add mandate and such as most triggered modifiers have been moved there. Soo if you are savvy enough feel free to make it work until I release a patch…tbh I may release one soon soon but updates may be slower than MT by a day or so depending on the changes. Generally speaking the triggered are not really needed and mod will work fine without them, and the missions file too.

It has come to my attention how the base way the Mandate works can really cripple Eastern Roman Empire very early on, and how the system felt like a more mandate in the west than a whole new system for Eastern Roman Empire so:

- Mandate = Imperial Authority Like the HRE there should not be any negatives for low authority or positives for high, it is there to enact reforms however I am going to make it so ARA interactions cost mandate like bestowing titles, revoking titles, inviting to join ARA/ becoming a free state it will limit spamming titles and add more levels of interaction and planning/resource management. might even look at other kind of interactions with members.

- Reworking the passive gain and decline as well as the equilibrium of these. (the base mandate system is suppose to increase with the more tributaries you have however per 100 dev they have which is not a problem for the super highly developed china but the crippled eastern roman empire and the lands of the east? )

- Re worked the whole benefits given to subjects, looked over the HRE benefits in MT and matched all of these including for you, free states are the only difference while they have the same benefits of free cities (slightly toned down as they are not limited or capped ) they get small trade bonuses on-top.

-Meritocracy looking over legitimacy in MT I have some what matched it in values but more of a administrative/bureaucratic focus instead. will looking at tweaking the cost of decrees but making more of them competitive as I feel some can be more a pass vs others.

as of now I have pushed out what has been done so BYZ isn't to crippled even more than it already is or punished more than it already is.

I will be highly active with tweaking or adding to the mod leading up to EU5 drop (the mod is made to remain compatiable with updates regardless of what the luncher says) after then I will still update it as need be and work on tweaks from feed back but I hope by then all planned features will be done.

made a lot of updates over the last few days:
fixied a lot of issues,
fixed a lot of the values.
fixed the problems with the Serbian war.
fixed not being able to form allies.
fixed pope being invited to ARA
improved the AI acceptance for Subjects
tweaked mandate lost to flow better.
fixed modifier bloat my moving most stuff into static modifiers and some into missions tree
added mandate to the missions where legitimacy would normal be and more
did also allow crusader states for the ERE

You monster. I just finished an ERE playthrough in MEIOU... and you put this out to drag me back in. Looks incredible.

Two suggestions:

1. A way to diplomatically reunite with Trebizond and maybe to put a Komnenos back on the throne (maybe if you lack a male heir)

2. Maybe tweak MEIOU's culture conversion mechanics to let you "Romanize" reconquered provinces. It can still be slow, but maybe it doesn't require proximity if you control all the provinces of a specific culture.

Fixed as of right now may take a few in-game days to fix.
For some reason starting with the "mandate" stopped you from having factions.

now after a few In-game days on a new save you gain the mandate enabling the Empire generaly before 1st of Feb tick.

For Current Saves - Factions are added back if you seem to be missing them should take 1-30 in-game days.

Basileia Rhomaion does not seem to have a properly working MEIOU influence system, I can't reform anything at all.

Thanks, fixed a lot of this over the last few hours as of right now everything is balanced/working properly and fixed the mandate loss and meritocracy loss and gains.

Also by handing out the new titles for the new subject types you gain mandate for expanding the empires lands.
