Seemingly it should still work since the automated part is handled via events, not vanilla files, somehow you have a mod conflict though.
@Vseman Yeah that's intended, if your main spouse is good ALL kids should be assigned to her. Even if secondary spouses are better, it prioritizes the primary if she's excellent/good. I don't think there's any penalty from switching secondary wives to primary though.
Simply right clicking a better new wife and choosing make primary.

@TMad In my experience with lots of kids and 4 spouses, most of the kids were assigned to the primary spouse. Make her more competent? I think ti defaults to your spouse even if you have better stats, but only if she's competent enough as well. Btw what mod allows for 120+ spouses? In my experience they also allow the ai to do the same and that turns ugly real fast

I have over 122 spouses and 61 vassals. I ended up turning the mod off. Several years later I still have 48 wards. I have 178 children and growing still. The reason I got the mod was to handle all the kids, lmao.

@TMad do you not have any spouses or vassals? You should be the last resort unless an update broke the mod.
Currently not playing ck3 so I won't be updating, sorry.

I got your mod and now I have hundreds of wards..... all assigned to me. I think this has ruined my game because I get continously spammed with ward events.

This only works for the player's realm? Do AI characters do a good job of assigning guardians or would it make sense to apply this mod's effect to all characters?

This mod already pretty much excludes you from being assigned as a guardian, unless everybody in your court is absolutely useless - check the list of priority above in the description. You being selected as guardian is only chosen if all of your wives/courtiers/vassals have legitimate brain damage.
As for manually assigning you're free to do that at any time, you can even manually assign children to specific people, if that's what you want.

This mod will only assign guardians to kids that don't have one, automatically, at these intervals:
Birth (15 days after birth)
age 6
small chance to check all kids in court randomly per year
If a guardian is already assigned at these intervals, nothing happens.

@MtvYoloSwag Excludes you (the player) from being picked as a guardian. I noticed that you get random kids in your tutelage. Wouldn't it be better to handpick your potential heirs as your ward?

Or excludes your realm entirely?

Hi, idk why, but the feature seems to be working on dragons as well, all of my dragons are being assigned a guardian just a kids do and they can't be unassigned, I use the compatch

#Vseman sorry bud idk then. I checked the AGOT update, they only modified 00_agot_colonization_interactions.txt and 00_agot_knight_interactions.txt in character interactions, both unrelated so we don't need an update.
I'll be starting a game tonight, if I get any crashes I can troubleshoot to see if it's this mod.
This is plug and play though, doesn't require a new game start - feel free to disable and re-enable at anytime if you want to test each mod one at at time.

Yes, I was using the compatch and following a good sense of the load order. I don't use agot+, since I use mari's makeovers and I'd need to disable the agot dnas everytime I want to start a game. No real major submods as of now, at least to the scale of agot+

@Vseman do you use AGOT+? Usually it's the larger submods that have issues.

@Vseman is this recent? AGOT updated yesterday, I haven't updated the compatch yet. Not sure if latest AGOT changed the education interaction. That could be a problem.
Beyond that it should be lightweight, gaining the throne shouldn't even trigger the mod, so it would just be when those kids in realm individually reached age 6 for the first check on each.

Thank you, I'm just trying to investigate what's causing a spontaneous crash a couple of months into agot, I thought that maybe the scope of the iron throne and the children that have to be assigned guardians is massive and it could overload the mod

@Vseman not at all,
We have a check at birth, 6th birthday, when a kid enters your realm via joining your court, and a chance to have a yearly pulse check - so in ~16 years for a kid it might fire 1-2 times on that kid.
Provided your guardian remains alive/available, the check should basically be ran once per child at a time when nothing else is happening.
