This mod fixed my other gripe with the game: I always wanted a bigger ocean. Now it makes the ocean larger AND loops!

Wow, it worked on an existing world perfectly! It did connect unevenly, but nothing a bit of terraforming can't fix.

Added it to an existing save (with Calamity Mod installed) and my regular Ocean water balanced out with my Sulphurous Sea so now my regular Ocean has lower sea level, not a major issue but it was fun. Just wanted to let people know!

@sprecly i will not be doing that as that could be its own mod in itself. with how my mod is coded, it would be compatible with other mods that affect world generation. so someone else can do whatever you’re suggesting.

However, having the oceans on both sides connected would diminish the effect of the Magic Conch and make the oceans seem less imposing. I suggest creating tall cliffs at the junction between the land and the Underworld, with varying elevations on both sides. Additionally, incorporating expansive bodies of liquid, such as vast sea surfaces and lava seas similar to those in the Celebrationseed, would make the transition more natural. This approach would also better align with the setting of the Sulphurous Sea in the Calamity mod, making it more consistent with the overall theme.:steamthumbsup:

worlds now generate the oceans at the same height! this will apply to worlds generated while the mod is enabled. multiplayer development will be starting very shortly. thanks for the support everyone!

Good news, I tried waiting for more than a minute and it eventually loaded! Also, disclaimer, I've only been testing with worlds made before downloading this mod (the ocean biomes do some wacky stuff) so that might affect how "settled" water is

Seems that there is still an issue with world-loading progress getting stuck at Settling Liquids. First-time load-ins seem to work fine, mod is amazing! It's when I try to switch worlds that the second load-in freezes. (I have not tried waiting more than a minute to see if it unstucks itself)

This mod works Perfectly! at least in my testing, this has been so cool! i was thinking about making a mod like this, but you already did! i can't thank you enough! also if you ever decide to change the ocean spawns so that it forces them to be level with eachother, maybe add a setting totoggle that as i can forsee a few issues that could come from that wit thing's like calamity's sulfrous seas.

@The Bard of Hearts i don’t have experience in multiplayer coding or manipulating world gen in the loading bar stage so it’ll be a while unfortunately. i cannot give an estimate because when i thought a feature would be easy to implement it’s hard and when i thought it would be hard it’s harder lol

@ArcoFox not anytime soon, it's behind some other features and bugs on my priority list. just find a seed where they line up or at least where the normal ocean is lower than the sulphurous sea so that it doesnt drain. im not very experienced in maniplulating world the actual world generation so give me some time please. thanks

@MathiEWi It seems to me that the height setting is a higher priority, after all, not all players play Terraria in multiplayer mode, and only then can the problem with compatibility with multiplayer begin

I guess, I'd prefer if the ocean height got fixed before multiplayer. That way it could be used in single player at least before waiting for the following update. Just one man's opinion. Me and my wife will be anxious for your work either way. :megamanjump::steamthumbsup:

Definately been waiting for something like this. watching and waiting for it to be up and running right and with hopeful multiplayer availability. Thanks for the mod work! If there is any way us players can help test things or whatnot, let us know. I'm willing at least.
