Hey is there an update to fix the force open? Like others have said, survivor only goes through the motions of trying to open the door but it never works. Thank you in advance

As other people have mentioned, the mod isn't working for me. It throws an error when I try to pry a door. Survivor still goes through the motions, sound effect plays, but the door never opens.

Sorry was this updated for b42.12 and working again? This is the last mod on my list I needed to readd. Thanks again for the contribution and work DBG!

I have the same problem. But this only happens when trying to force car doors; it works fine for me on house and garage doors. With vehicles, it does the animation but nothing happens. What's more, it doesn't even go to the chosen door. For example, if you were in the trunk and chose to force the right door, it would automatically go to that door and try to force it, but now it stays in the same place doing the animation in the trunk and nothing happens with either the door or the crowbar. If I remember correctly, a few days ago it was working fine, even after the update, although I'm not 100% sure. I can't say for sure about the doors on vehicles. In my case, I haven't installed any new mods, but it's possible that one of them has been updated and is causing this problem.

Yup, having the same issue. I got it to open one time, then 20 times afterwards even after setting the percentage as high as possible it didn't work.

I see the "Force Open Door" option, the motion, but there is no msg of failure and door does not get unlocked. New unstable version. Not sure if any other mods messing it up.

Hey guys, I just saw a large update happened for 42. While I'm getting to the ones already reported and all will be fixed, please let me know if any immediate issues are popping up that prevent the functions from working. I'll prioritize that with the time I have available at the moment.

it would be good if, crowbar damage on use could be lowered further than 0.1 in the options. even at 0.1 this eats up crowbar durability very quickly. it would be nice if we could adjust this value all the way down to 0.001 instead.

@fluffntough_YT yeah I have noticed that as well. This mod also lacks a V menu option for vehicles. Making it very awkward to use.

Also it seems some four door vehicles dont have a rear left or rear right option for using a crowbow to unlock them.

I understand your personal intention to make the game difficult, but at least make it possible to have a magnification that is not damaged at all. The limit of 0.1 which is the minimum for cutting durability is bigger than I thought, so I can't replace Common Sense.

I've been testing in a debug world with 10 Strength and the chances and bonuses set to maximum. Something I've noticed, and this might help you @Cyrisa, is that if you have a crowbar in your immediate inventory you can try to force a door open by the context menu (right click), right? However, if you don't have the crowbar actively equipped in your hands, it will not work. Kinda bizarre, thought I'd report it.

I was excited to use this mod but I have to uninstall - not due to bugs but just due to the level of fatigue/tiredness gained from using it. My character get sleepy after only a couple of door unlocks. I understand if they get temporarily fatigued... but they shouldn't need to go to bed right after. Kind of ruins it for me. If you could adjust this, or atleast make a setting where we could adjust this "fatigue" percentage that would fix the issue

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to uninstall the "crowbar unlock" mod. I've encountered several bugs that aren't acceptable to me.
This was confirmed in a DEBUB mode gameplay with only two mods installed (crowbar unlock and sandbox options).
It's been confirmed that each time the crowbar is used successfully, fatigue increases by 5%, and each time it fails, it increases by 8%. These increases are unacceptable, as after just a few uses of the crowbar, the character reaches extremely high levels of FATIGUE/SLEEP.

I understand that if you want to achieve a certain degree of realism with the mod, you can increase the level of MUSCLE FATIGUE or even the level of ENDURANCE, but under no circumstances the FATIGUE/SLEEP.

Other bugs I've encountered:
Some garage door orientations (NORTH, for example) don't give you the option to FORCE DOOR.
I hope these bugs are fixed in future updates; for now, I'm going to uninstall the mod.

Is it normal for the tiredness/fatigue level to increase significantly when using the crowbar? After several attempts at using the crowbar, the fatigue level increases considerably.

@PrimeKnuckles braven's common sense is full of coding bugs that have been ignored for over a year and issues take ages to fix at all. Hence why I dropped it in favor of this mod.

@drummerj09 I increased the values back to default and mod is working again. Though it seems like every building/vehicle door just opens on the first try. Unlock a vehicle door does not play the vehicle door opening sound either.

@Ki Charn Ro I have not found any special crowbars from the mod either across multiple game saves as I test out mods.

@Cyrisa, I had the same issue. I had to equip the crowbar before attempting to force open the door. This seems to be a bug.

I triggered an alarm attempting to break into a storage unit. The alarm turned off like normal but the sound seems to be tied to my person. The alarm followed me as I drove away attracting a bunch of zombies.

This is better than bravens mod glad it doesnt have all the extra crap also the crowbars are rare or something? I've found every crowbar except the ones from this mod. The functions work perfect tho so idk

also I have tried lowering the success value for base and interior doors to: 11% exterior and 10% interior. but it seems doors simply never unlock. I can spend ten real minutes grinding hundreds of right clicks watching the animation play and will not unlock something using a crowbar.

Can we have a sandbox option to disable the mod options? That way it is future-proof for MP if people want to use this on servers.

Could you change the "Force Open" text in DBG_CrowbarUnlock_Context.lua to use a translation key?
This is part of an effort to make translations natural for both SVO and SOV languages.

You can lower the damage min-max the crowbar takes, but i think it should only take damage on failed attempts and even then it should be rare af. Because a crowbar is very, very sturdy

Liking this mod so far. Seems pretty simple and straight forward. Any chance of there being a version that excludes damaging the crowbar on prying attempts? I saw in "Which new features do you want?" you mentioned you're going to implement crafting. I understand that players can Forge new crowbars with Smithing/Metalworking, but it takes level 9 to make them. Would you consider implementing a way to repair crowbars?
