I feel like that could be a cool setting.
1 survivor down and you have a small chance of a boomer or hunter spawning in the closet.
2 survivors down you have a medium chance of a random support & pin infected spawning.
3 survivors down and you have a large chance of a infected team spawning in the closet or a small chance of a boss infected spawning.
If you have 1 survivor to rescue, you're not gaining that much reward from opening the closet... BUT it is unlikely (33%) he will spawn downed, so IF (50-66%) a witch is in there, he will be able to quickly extricate himself before the witch is angered. With 3 survivors to rescue, you're getting the most reward, but at 33% chance for each one of them to be downed, IF (50-66%) a witch spawns and IF (50%) it is a sitting witch, it will almost certainly be triggered.
And on top of all that, you always have a 1% chance of a tank spawning in there lol, even if it is infinitesimally small.

you will find the settings there
(1) extracting the mod in vpkedit
(2) opening the .nut file 'yeoh_infected_rescue_closet'
(3) I tried changing the values to other numbers between 0-100, and save.
(4) I dragged the extracted vpk folder over 'vpk.exe' to re-pack it.
(5) I placed the newly edited version in my 'l4d2/addons' folder.
(6) Test run, it never works.
I'm trying to experiment with the percentages and see if I can find a right balance where it's still worth it for survivors to open these rescue closets, but only under the right circumstances and with some planning. Kind of like very miniature panic events themselves - especially with witch and tank a distinct possibility.
And this would hide the survivor silouettes
This would add to the suspense
Btw does this have a chance to spawn a Tank?
