Sadly Paradox changed something in how company names work, can't even rename the EIC and other country-company.
"Confederate Subject" now works on every culture regardless of cultural similarities. I'm certain this is also not expected behavior.
you're probably clicking the event without refreshing it, first time (not sure why) it doesn't lock in the country

my pupet does this, goes into negative convoys, breaks the contribution (pauses the game, cant turn the pause off) and trys it again just to break it 5 days later

If you use this you kinda have most of the world colonies covered (the mod add option to release Indochina colony, India colony, East Indies colony)

And another different question, do you plan to add the option to release countries as colonies, like Cuba, the Phillipines and Ceylon?
added Turkish, Portugese, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Spanish as localization (still in english, anybody who wants to localize is welcome)
Not sure why that is happening but I made sure that cannot be spammed by AI now (not sure if it's really a mod conflict or whatever, couldn't reproduce the thing)
Made a reset all subsidies interaction, making a system to cancel a specific subsidie would take a lot of time and might cause lag issue (cuz I would have to add it to the GUI that already makes the game lag a lot)

Don't really get what you mean, you mean straight up disabling investment pool? (that would be a lil crippling just pass extraction on them) Regional HQ are pretty bad anyway I tend not to enable them on the companies anyway cause of the way they work (Foreign HQ as I remember only help the owning country, Not sure about the 1.9.8 changes).
I love the mod, but some of the features just feel to janky

AI can use the overlord interactions that give bonuses (so no charter, no transfer), so they use most of them.
MB, I guess companies that already existed remained, now I made so that after the country becomes a company they disband the old ones.
