There is a mod out there that adds more stars to TrueSpace that I find to be really good - it even adds radiant neutron stars, which use the unused radiated region and would allow Superstorm and Automated planets to generate there.
... The issue is that they are incredibly, obscenely rare and have very few orbit bands, making finding any of those three planets on what may be the only one you'll ever find in a full playthrough practically nonexistent. Maybe you could look into making some kind of patch that tweaks the commonality of said stars as well as the chances of arcana planets generating on them?
