Fixed a lil something but it shouldn't have had an impact on your issue.
I see no events beyond the hero spawn and the 3 rebels recruit events. And the RoR are all there.
If you see other events or no ROR, you have a conflict, move this mod higher in the modlist. That fixed it for others.
Yeah, new dlc, mods need to be updated. I couldn't update mine until Deer24 updated his. He did today, I'll update it this weekend to see what he changed.
Edit : After test, the mod don't crash the game but don't work, definitely sure, I don't have all units in RoR pools and I have always the events, the mod need to be update or fix, thanks! :)

Great, good to know that still work. Having to bump the mod higher up is weird due to how load order and priority work since it is already above everything it needs to be. Oh well, what work works.
Cannot say for certain. Which specific event did you see? The Hero Spawn one is expected, did you also get the start up event explaining the mechanics? With the faction mod, do you see modded legendary characters in the right place? Do you see the Collapsing Celestial Empire thing in the top bar (you shouldn't)?
I just tested with only this+english+main mod+faction+requirements. And I only got the Hero Spawn event on turn 1.
Last time someone had this issue, he just moved the mod higher in this mod list. That had fixed it for him somehow.

With only the bare minimum mods, I can see both vanilla ROR and those from Walk with the Dragon. If you do not see them you might have another mod messing with script or something.
Also, some of the RoR unit from the mod are actually regular unit from buildings, they just have the purple border thing.
And this is only a patch, you still need the main mod and optionally the faction submod to get the units.

Just tested these 2, nop, ain't them. But that you get no hero spawning (assuming you do not pick the None option) could mean a script breaking somewhere. But that would brick your entire modlist's scripts, not just mine.
But I cannot test every and single mod for you. Since the events pop on turn 1, it would have taken you 2 minutes to test these 2 mods yourself in the hours it took for me to see your message. You could also try setting this mod event higher in your modlist perhaps, might help depending on what mass with it on your end.

Technically, there's 4 events with this mod. 3 to recruit the defeated rebel legendary lords and 1 to decide how you want the legendary heroes to spawn. So getting those are normal.
I just tested with today's update. Events are disabled as expected. Will need to update this and the translation for the new legendary lord added in an event battle tho.
Ensure it is loaded above all Deer24 related mods, not just the base mod, to be sure. Did you get the Hero Spawn event on turn one?

It should technically be more compatible? There is no script past the initial pre-game set-up only. But I have no real way to test it. I assume that if both players play as cathay, the lord/hero distribution events might be doubled (one player should just pick the refuse/none option to avoid duplicate characters).
But maybe the multiplayer issue lies elsewhere. I honestly do not know. Do test and report back. :o)
