As much as I like it, resharpening to full condition at just the cost of some whetstone durability (which are plentiful and renewable) is a bit overpowered, so having the proper new head/handle/sharpness condition system for these would be great.
There's a lot of potential for the mod if someone is willing to put in the work, all I'm saying!
@Zara. Dang. I liked Rain's blades mods. It's a huge part of why I made this mod.
Oh also, I was wondering why is the Nagamaki so slow to swing? I found two very early game but they're difficult to use safely because of that very long recovery time, yet the Zweihander (a typically much heavier sword) is lightning fast. I love that the Zweihander is fast - it's more realistic than the slow, clunky, overbearing representation two-handed swords get in media, but it makes the Nagamaki not make a lot of sense.
@Bumblor. You can adjust the likelihood of each type of weapons. If they're too rare you can set it five or ten times higher.
And also less likely to show up in redneck wardrobes or fancy wardrobes. You can also find them in the best tool chests in garages or industrial areas.
But not at any store or anything.
If you specifically wanted the Naginata, then you could modify your spawn likelihood to set all the others, such as European and Indigenous to 0. While setting the East Asian weapons to a higher spawn rate. Say double the default. That shouldn't make them too too common, but you would see some more.
I could see a situation where a player might forge something like a Warhammer, or a Longsword, but some of the rarer weapons can't be easily replicated.
And for example, a Tomahawk is just slightly different shaped axe. We already have bone axes, and steel axes. So you can make your own for them for sure.
When I found a bardiche in one run, it seemed to be well rounded and quite reliable. Five hits to drop a zombie on average, which matches something like the fireman's axe.
I agree it needs to be carefully balanced.
On par with finding a Katana. They're only supposed to spawn at the Anthropology chests as well as some tool chests.
