My only quibble is that there ought to be an alternate version of the LUA that randomizes the metal that spawns (and also reduces the spawn chance slightly, for balance purposes). It's been gold each time with the "most common on the globe" function.
I noticed in the LUA log these two lines:
LoadScreen: IconHookup error - icon index: 1 icon size: 128 atlas: MC_GAUL_ATLAS image control: nil
&
PlotIterators.lua:151: attempt to index local 'pPlot' (a nil value)
Secondly, can I suggest a balance perhaps a limit per city. eg: maybe max 2-3 resources found per city. And I know its not a bug but can the resource it spawns be determined by the city its in, decided when first founded. So I could have a city that finds only gold in its borders, copper, etc. This prevents to many of one resource, and might better balance the game when you have the appropriate faith and Metalsmith.
lastly, you said "only the most abundant metal is ever created". Does that mean you would never get Iron or Aluminium as they are rare compared to the others?
thanks again, as I said great mod :D looking forward to the feedback!
Would be really neat if we could get 2nd mine improvement (like Inca gets terrace farm in addition to existing improvement) that would unlock 2nd random resource (probably strategic since another different kind of luxury resource will make Gallic to city spam very easily)
Could make 2nd mine improvement unlock at later stage at like renaissance or something.
Is it at all possible to solve this and make it truly random? I'm loving the faction but after spending three games trying to find out if other metals could trigger and getting the same(silver) every single time it is slightly frustrating.. (especially since I tend to start surrounded by silver mines.)
Got to mention, the Gauls were literally drowning in gold. Could not trade away the excess.
