Look at the tlr_tailors_expo_back_mlod model
LOD Geometry and component170 and those lying next to it.
For a room to be leak-proof, it must have a sealed roof, your geometry has holes that can also create problems for you.
Also, your Geometry LOD has too many Faces, at a quick glance, I think it can be simplified by about 4 times in each model, without any harm. By simplifying the engine's handling of geometry with your building

I also noticed that you added parameters to the Fire Geometry LOD but they are not required there, this can also cause conflicts.
In any case, I tried for a long time to figure out the problem of rain and penetrating light in my bunker.
The recommendations I described here helped me set this up for my buildings, it should help you too.

You have selected geometry autocenter = 0 in Geometry LOD
This is usually done for objects that are held in hands or somehow dynamically interacted with. Perhaps this prevents your building logic from working with the surrounding weather.
Standard building parameters
in Geometry LOD:

Hi.
So that the rain does not penetrate into your room.
It should have FACEs with textures on the outside, the normals of which are turned outward. A kind of roof made of textures.

Server owners, players - we have done all we can to address the rain coming through the glass. We now believe that it is not possible in DayZ due to the glass being used, which is a different, see through material.

If you have knowledge to the contrary please share.

Im using ur domes as traders. But few have asked to get them placed as custom bases as well.. And idea is great. Just issue of stuff placed get "wet".

1 suggestion. Make so doesnt rain inside it..... Rain goes right through glass.. Unless you intended it to be that way

i completely understand. Just showing my findings. Its beautiful work. You were just talking about covering entire towns and that doesn't seem possible with the size issue.

NEPAHXC, hi, there was an earlier discussion about enlarging the model 5 times. When I have a moment, I'll test that size.

No, I did not intend to make it not work with VPP or any other mods. I have simply imported it as static land objects to be able to build in DayZ Editor.

With DayZ we are always on a journey of discovering new things. I'd treat this particular model as a huge object in the first place, and experiment with it to find a compromise between ones own ideas and what DayZ will allow. Best!

Placed mine on the ocean floor in high tier area, Diving gear needed, surrounded by sharks and AI on the coast line, players are getting slaughtered left right and centre......its great they love it, nice work Jeni !!!

If u have 5 LOD's then u fine and it's good as gold. not sure what the other person was referring to then as you have done what is necessary.

Thank you HuffyMuffyGuffy. I split the model itself into segments, otherwise it's too big and loads as a yellow cube into the Editor and the game. Currently there are 5 resolution lods (I assume, these are the distance lods), geometry and fire geometry. Would you add anything else? Thank you.

Large models can be very tricky with geometry and view geometry issues, I presume you proxied it out into segments to make life easier. Good on you for starting out with a challenging task and not just a square object as I did. If as someone else mentioned below you don't have distance lod's added in yet might pay to note this in the workshop description so people don't complain about optimization. (such a large model with one LOD could be taxing for some clients). Keep at it... if it was easy everyone would do it.

I am under the impression that the issue we are talking about, is not down to skills.

My skills do suck but the other modder who worked on the model, xakuda bless him, has over 10 years of experience in Arma and DayZ modding. If there was something we could do, we would absolutely do it.

Glad you still like the mod. If you find out something please share, I do not normally bite. Hope this is ok.

I do like the mod and if I had the skills to fix this I would tell you rather then remake it.
I sense a passive aggressive attitude so I'll leave it at this. No need to bite the hand that is trying to give you feedback especially after you ask some imput.

Yöshua, thank you. I have actually put the information you are referring to in the description of the mod. In particular, that increasing the size is likely to create this visual effect.

The reason for me purchasing this model, spending hours on it, paying someone to finish it off - is because I believe that people may want different things, and for some the model in its original size may be perfect. For others 2/3 times bigger may work. And there may be adventurers like me who increase it 10 times and be prepared to accept the consequences.

In my understanding, this is a voluntary contribution to the DayZ community.

It's ok not to like the mod. Maybe you could make a better version and we use it instead? I would.

Well you are showing a picture where it is covering a whole town or village and I think the idea of increasing this in size is what which people are looking for in doing so as shown. I'm increasing it atm by 5 but anything over 2/3 times the size is giving this visual bug. Maybe it's going to inform people that increasing the sizes may show it invisible. Not a big deal you say but completely destroying the purpose as the model is not there.

Guys, I have fixed everything there is to fix, thanks for bringing my attention to the issues.

Special thanks to xakuda, who kindly checked and fixed geometry for Pavilion 3 - I could not see the issue for the life of me but he found it, so thanks!

When you oversize the model, please do bear in mind that DayZ may not keep it 100% visible at all times. When you move and look around, you may see a panel invisible or a hole section. You move a bit more and you see it again. This is not something I can change but you can, by adjusting the size of your build or your expectations :).

Thanks Yöshua. I think there is a limit on the size in DayZ itself when everything works fine. If you go over that limit - which has nothing to do with the model itself - you "subscribe" to glitches, such as visuals being affected.

It is up to the user to use the model in its original size or accept visual inconsistencies. I have added this information in the description.

Personally, I have no issue with the visuals changing temporarily when you are close to a wall etc., so yes, I am using an oversized model. There are worse glitches in DayZ to worry about. But for some people this can be distracting, therefore not going over the size limit would be a solution, in my understanding.

I'm having the same issues. the domes visuals disapear when you increase the sizes as in you enlarge it. I do however think it has something to do with collision with other items. as in if you has a tree sticking through it then it does it and when it's on a flat surface it does not do the visual bug.

Pavilion 3 - just checked the geometry, everything looks in order. I'll see what I can do.

@cp, a question for you. The dome is still there, the visuals are disappearing for you. Are you using the model in its original size or have you enlarged it and how big is it now? If you are using the model in its original size or slightly bigger, please email me a link to a video and I'll get to work. Otherwise, if your model is huge, the issue is not with the model but with the size. One thing I would do is reinstall the mod and the other, I'd reduce the size of the model. Hope this helps!

Yes, the geometry of the Land_tlr_Tailors_Expo_Pavilion3 covers the doorways :)

Its a good idea but has some big bugs currently:
Dome disappears randomly when player is close to it.
Land_tlr_Tailors_Expo_Pavilion3 doorways have invisible walls.
