Like none of the tasks forces or strike forces are available to build in historical conflict

Right now I don't have the resources or time to try and make my mod work with every other mod out there. If someone wants to try they're welcome. For now I would avoid combining this mod with mods that add new units or modify the same files as this one does. Income mods should be ok, and possibly some others.

@Fight-Cruzer98 I don't know anything about the Clone Wars unchained mod. The development team for this mod is me, myself and ChatGPT...

@DappleDualies: There are a few more things on the Republic Side I want to get done but yes CIS, Hutts and Independent Forces will be getting battlegroups. Or at least escort ships for the random ones they get.

Also, mod rework looks diffrent from what I imagined.
I thought, the fleets will spawn few main units, and that units would spawn extra units (escorts units, similar to fighters)

Right now I'm honestly more worried about getting it working correctly. Fixing some bugs in group spawn for example.

I think it's more about balance Spartan. Now literally any unit spawn with fleet. Let's say, Venator with 30 CP (don't remember exact numbers) spawns Fleet worth 60 or more points.

And fleet officers spawns with literally fleet worth 100 points. So, with just 2 units you can have fleet worth 200 points.

@FnafGamer183 I've not tried the historical conflicts. What sort of bugs are you getting?

@E-boy next door I'm aware that heroes are unbalanced, credit cost and population values are easy to change so are loadouts. The mod is still in progress. I do plan on CIS and Hutt Cartel expansions, possibly into Thrawn's Revenge as well.

Is it possible to roll back to the August 3rd version?
I like the idea of this overhaul, but right now as it stands, it's seriously unfinished and unballanced.
Venator Admirals for the cost of 21 CP and 1000 credits are spawning with a force equivalent to old Carrier Task Force, which used to require 140 CP and about 15000 credits.

Ooh, that'd be cool, basing it off of WW2 unit compositions in a way. Glad to hear it's maybe less impossible than I thought it would be, though naturally I figure expanding to the ground would take a while.

@Fist Full of Crimson: There are lua units in the game called Groundwar, I don't know how to access them but they have mixed ground units (1 AT-TE with a clone platoon for example). So its possible for a ground expansion. I've had a chat with ChatGPT on modelling different Republic units after U.S. Army/Marine Corp ground formations, that was mainly for fun though. But I could do that and model Separatists formations after Soviet Doctrine, perhaps come up with a third variant for the Hutts.

@Autsin: yes those are leftover strings from the earlier version, right now they're just there to help tell the difference between units. I'll be putting in proper tooltips soon.

Just curious, and I know such a change or alternate version would take a hell of a lot of time to make, but would there eventually be a plan to expand this to ground units? I think it'd be a cool concept to expand toward, maybe possible through similar spawning mechanics already seen on things like Infantry platoons.

Otherwise I do like this mod, it helps add to the feeling of scale in a niche way other people might not have thought of.

The current version works but there are some bugs and compatability issues with other mods. I'm still working on an improved version but I keep hitting major bugs and behavioural problems which is really slowing me down.

Well, mod is under revamp. While 1st idea was interesting, author quickly found issue with it.
Also I think, that fleets at that time were too overpowered.

The military doctrine should be bound to the factions. The republic should have a more carrier based strategy with high defenses while the confederates a more overwhelming firepower and mobility one.

This mod is not working for me for some reason. Is there some sort of research that needs to be initiated for the game to start giving me the option to build these battlegroups?

I tried at first to launch with the "limitless heroes" and "Unlimited pop cap" mods, but it wasn't working, so i unsubscribed those, and now I have only this and the base fall of the republic mod subscribed. I have the "steammod" codes put into the launch manager too for just this and the FotR mod. Still nothing. I load in and when i bring up the purchase menu for the ships it's still just one purchase at a time.

Cool idea but i do think takes the idea away that EAW provides and thats build your own fleet gives a reason to spend credits etc
However you need a quick fleet reinforcements its a good idea

For this current version you need to build fleetyards to see available battlegroups. They are available in the space Structures build menu

@GodKolob Yeah @Skeletor is right that how i do it. its why i'm using a 500 pop cap for my fleets.
