Maybe because I install the PRC?

Crash also happen to me. Usually happened when the level scale(to level 9) is applied to sorcerer and wizard.

Thank you for taking the time to fix the performance issues. This mod really makes the game playable to for me, it's painfully easy otherwise! Looking forward to those performance options.

It seems like those crashes are caused by script engine performance issues in some areas. I'm currently working on this issue in my free time, trying to add several performance options for the mod.

This mod consistently causes crashes for me in certain places in the game and I can't work out why.

So far it's happened in Blacklake (only the upper section with Castle Never and The Academy), one path in Old Owl Well, and Crossroad Keep (the first time) - specifically in the library and the basement.

I've deleted the nw_c2_default1.ncs and nw_c2_default2.ncs from companion and monster AI.

If I disable this mod I can get past those sections but obviously I would really like it on! I haven't got further in the game yet so can't be sure where else this might happen.

I've also tried disabling all other mods apart from this one but it still happens, although I'm only using spell improvements, teleport items and no race level adjustment. I was previously using Clangeddin's Utilites and Charlies Appearance Changer but not anymore.

Could you perhaps please offer some insight? Because otherwise I'm really enjoying the mod and don't want to have to play without it.

Thank you!

Sure, it's possible - just disable PIA via default difficulty.2da: set Active to 0.

Hello! I like your mod and changes, but I only want to use your version of level scaling and companion ai - without the PIA mod - is that possible?
Ok, I see now. No, just using my scripts won't work the way you want. Scripts in merged folder require my own additional UDS scripts.

To make it work the way you want you need to merge original LSC, PIA and CompMonAI default.nss files and compile them to *.ncs files.
I would like to use the UDS scripts you made for CompMonAI together with the
original "Level Scaling Challenge" mod from Clangeddin, the "Personal Impossibility Adjustment" mod from kevL and the CompMonAI mod. I would prefer to use the original versions of the first two mods instead of the ones you edited and merged together. Therefore I would like to know if all I would need to do would be to use your scripts from the UDS merged folder instead of the ones from the "Level Scaling Challenge" mod.

Sorry, still can't quite get what you are asking about? What original difficulty scaling mod do you mean?

Scripts in Merged folder are default NWN 2 event handlers scripts - they are taken from original game files. I've made separate versions of these scripts for pure UDS and for CompMonAI-compatible UDS.

Good work! :-)

To feed my vigilante personality ;-), let's say I would prefer to use the original difficulty scaling mod, could I use the scripts from your Merged-Folder to make it compatible with the original CompMonAI?
Duplicate files fixed - all should be ok now
This mod version is already nerged with CompMonAI.

The duplicate files are not intended- it seems like something went wrong with the mod Workshop upload. I'll fix it now asap.

Thx for you vigilance! :-)

Thanks for the answer.

Could I use your merged scripts with the original mods to make them compatible with CompMonAI?

Last but not least, would you be so kind to answer my other question regarding the nw_c2_default1.ncs as well?
I just adjusted some internal mechanics of both modes. All difficulty settings are tested and tuned difficulty by adjusting 2da files.

I've added new bonus type to PIA 2da files: fixed bonus. Just use a negative value for the AddRand column bonus and it will become fixed, not random :-)

I've set only ability bonuses to 0 but increased direct stat bonuses instead - this way difficulty scaling worked better according to my tests.

I will probably adjust other campaign files later, now I'm working with the OC and adjusting the default difficulty file (in default folder).
One more question, in the Merged-folders subfolders are for example 2 versions of the file nw_c2_default1.ncs, wouldn't one be overwritten by the other?
In relation to PIA does that mean that you upped the difficulty in general by editing the other mod files and therefore lowered the values in the difficulty.2da in the folder nwn2_x0_oc? If so 2 questions:
1. How would one lower the difficulty that the mod implements if the values in difficulty.2da are already set to 0?
2. Why haven't you changed the other difficulty.2da's (for MoTB and SoZ) in accordance?

By the way, thanks for answering so fast. :-)
No mess up here :-)

Both mods and overall combined difficulty scaling are partially reworked by me and new scaling difficulty settings are set in 2da files. All changes in 2da files are intended.

I explain default difficulty settings in my UDS guide:

https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3527836064

Prop is set to 100 because after my tests I decided it's better to switch proportional scaling off and use plain -3 or -4 level scaling as more reliable and predictable.
Another difference to the original mods I realized is in the 2DA of the Level Scaling mod, there the value for PROP is set by you to 100 (which deactivates Proportianal Scaling) and is 80 in the original. Is that intended and if so why?
It looks like the 2DA's of PIA are maybe got messed up. In the OC folder most values in the 2DA are set to 0 and are completely different from what they are in the original mods file.
