The monolith is weird in that it's not an item, but a world event so you need to grav anchor whatever map tile it lands on.

Really cool! Does this work with Ambient Horror turned on?

Maybe for an ideology asteroid it could be that instead of transhumanists and shipborn ideologies having the relic quests on the planet, they could be in space?

studying an obelisk on one of these asteroids seems to instantly reveal everything about it, which i dont really love

Hey, just explored the asteroid it was a blast. 2 minor issues:

1) The fleshmass nucleus contained in one of the rooms was a bit bugged - encountering it didn't unlock the entry, and I couldn't access the containment options. After transferring it to a different platform and back again everything worked as normal. I suppose this is a pretty bona-fide encounter, as I don't think vanilla has any naturally-spawning "pre-contained entities".

2) Off in the corner I found the corrupted obelisk and, after killing its guardians, went to study it (with an occultist lvl20 intellectual pawn, if that's relevant). Instantly, I got all three of the "events" and was able to duplicate a colonist and/or deactivate the monolith . Maybe my pawn is just that cracked but according to the wiki I would think it should take longer.

These issues didn't impact my enjoyment, thank you for making this mod.

Had a hidden cloning obelisk go off from lack of study. Everyone who wasnt wearing a vac suit got mobbed by naked clones. Had a bunch of giant anacondamen clone too, so many people got eaten :c

Finally got one of these bad boys and it did not disappoint. Captured myself five metal horrors for study (the first ones I ever took alive, weirdly enough), and killed some more for those sweet, sweet shards. Cool stuff!

I'm poking around your mod trying to replicate it to make my own space objects and learn the C# I need to do that, and I noticed the description when you find it in the scanner misspells panicked to paniced. Great mod btw!

Noticing it'll give you Advanced anomalies even if you haven't attuned to the second stage of the Monolith yet. This was extremely helpful for getting a free Fleshmass Nucleus early into my gravship playthrough, but it felt kind of odd. Could you add a toggle for only getting anomalies of your current tier?

Absolute cinema (even if I didn't play it yet, the idea itself is amazing). Also, in case what we see is how every asteroid looks like... How about also adding a more "themed" anomaly asteroids? Like a fleshmass infested one, full of fleshbeasts and a dreadmeld/fleshmass heart at its core? A space platform full of hostile cultists worshipping the cube? A "distress signal" space station full of friendly people, all hypnotized by a revenant to find and destroy? So many cool ideas, it would be so fun to see it made.

YT creator Mr Samuel Streamer mentioned a neat space horror idea: an abandoned space station haunted by revenants. Or sight stealers standing in for Ridley Scott's xenomorph aliens. Station was conducting research into Things Man Was Not Meant to Know, etc. Regular space station loot spawns other than maybe one small centerpiece bit of Anomaly research material or item.

A nice idea would be "an abandoned" space station or a ship that has been taken over by the anomaly. Like a space ship that was used to contain one but it broke free and took over. Kind of like in dead space.

For those asking for dead space mods I think a few Armor/plasma cutter mods exist. Still sounds and looks great for exploration. Can't wait to give this one a go. :stress:

Another idea is a massive Archean asteroid, full high fertility soil everywhere, massive archean trees that are capable of producing enough oxygen, to counteract the vacuum and heat it significantly (like 13-27°C). No other resources though. If you enter with a ship you destroy the site, even if grav anchors are present.

would be cool to have a sort of "pirate hideout/bay" asteroid site, would be a caved out asteroid with smaller makeshift/low quality gravships parked in it in a hangar and long winding corridors and various facilities, would probably be a more endgame site to raid since i imagine raiders with gravships (despite being smaller and more used gravships) would be heavily armed
