Yes it REQUIRES but the tooltip says CONSUME action. This should be changed.

When the units transform what happens isn't a transformation, but a replacement. The old unit dies and a new unit spawns.

It's quite possible that the faction needs nerfs.
But turning back and forth from infantry to fortification won't be the mechanic I target. The health restoration is partly intentional and partly technical limitations. Remembering the health of a unit prior to turning into a fortification is quite the challenge.
The transformation does properly require action points. If that weren't the case your infantry could shoot and then turn into a fortification. I intentionally have the unit after transformation spawn with full actions as it is simply more fun to actually be able to do something right away.

The fortification action reads "Consumes action", but it actually doesn't. It requires an action, but does not consume an action to turn into a fortification or turn back into marines. I think it should because it is a bit strong otherwise.

Also, turning back into marines from fortification restores full hp, which might also be a bit op.

I'd argue that allowing the primaris infantry would give some usefulness to the fortification bonuses that you have for infantry. As it is I tend to turn all my infantry into buildings. Plus, they absolutely have primaris marines in lore, even if they were initially reticent.

New units are a very unlikely thing to be added. Adding new units without new fortifications would delude what the Imperial Fists are meant to be, a faction focused on the use of fortifications.

The bastion having grenades is intentional, the lack of attacks was an oversight and should be fixed.
I'm not going to add localization for other languages. If I ever make changes that need changes in the language files I'd want to be able to make those adjustments without seeking external help.
This doesn't mean you can't release your translation as their own mod.

Also, I noticed that in the mod, the Tactical Bastion is able to use the Frag Grenade, Krak Grenade, and Melta Bomb abilities typically belonging to Space Marine infantry. I was wondering if this is intentional or a bug that needs fixing.

You are correct and it should be fixed in your next game. None of the doctrines should have any requirements.

The tech "Assault Doctrine" isn't unlocking for me. Is it because Assault Marines are the starting unit for this faction, and so the game doesn't recognise the prerequisite as fulfilled, or could something else be screwing with it? I don't have any tech-tree mods aside from Golden Tool-tips.

Its a great idea making fortifications faction but now we need a seiging faction i hope!

I only made small additions to the Imperial Fists as they are still loyalist space marines and the loyalist legions all share more in common than any two traitor legions.

When I had the idea of creating a faction focused on fortifications I was looking into Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists, but as I haven't done a loyalist faction yet and didn't have any more ideas I choose the Imperial Fists.

For the Imperial Fists and any possible future loyalist legions the changes from the base games Space Marines will continue being in line with this mod and add up to Space Marines with unique mechanic instead of new faction with Space Marine look the way my Chaos Legions are.
