- I made a patch that when the non-binary mod is detected it gives them the standard body gene. There's no way for me to make a custom body and limit it to the body types I select, so I'm over it and simply made a patch.

@Erin Hi, Non-Binary Gender author here. My mod is not forcing the thin body type, vanilla is. If there are no body types on the adult back story, there's a 50% chance to be assigned the thin body type, or the standard body type for the pawn's gender. All I do is a second 50% to choose between male and female if thin was not chosen for a non-binary person. This happens to all pawns, of any gender, whether my mod is installed or not. Genes are applied later in the process.

You don't actually have any vanilla xml stating that a thin body type is not allowed. It's only VEF stuff, and there's no fallbacks for if the gender is not male or female. The gendered genes aren't getting applied at all. So if they were assigned thin earlier, they keep it. Vanilla provides body type genes for limiting xenotypes to specific body types. Just adding Body_Standard to the xenotype keeps them from spawning with body types they shouldn't have.

- I was suspicious that it was the non-binary mod conflicting and yes, it is. Not only is it forcing the thin body type, disregarding any gendered setup in the XML, it glitches out the other body types while doing so.

For now there's little I can offer other than you copying the bodyTypeGraphicPaths for female or whatever and adding the thin/hulk/fat in there. That fixes all the issues.

It's imo a very destructive way to do things from that mod, and it really should be allowing for situations where there's no thin body type texture available.

They really should try and add some system for checking if the body type is available first before destructively forcing it. The way they've done it is going to break any xenotype that has specific body types available, not just mine.

I went back and asked the Non-Binary Gender mod author for a patch for these xenotypes, so even if nothing's found, at least the NB gender mod patching for the occurrence that a pawn spawns with a glitched body it should be fine.

Then it probably has to do with Odyssey or something. I'll keep poking around but at this point it seems like there's nothing that can be fixed on your end and that your mod is fine.

- That's the thing. They SHOULDN'T spawn with a body type that they're not allowed to. They're specifically set in the xml to spawn with the body types that they're allowed to.

I love your mods and can't play without them, but I think you're focusing too much on the body type discussion. I didn't request that the mod get additional body types, I am just explaining an error that happens that can potentially brick saves with how generated pawns might spawn and break the xenotype's body type restrictions due to the custom textures.

I posted the logs and I've been able to reproduce it in the dev quicktest, both by spawning Tribal trade caravans, randomly generating a bugged Au-Ra with Character Editor, and by the bug bricking my save.

- It's not the fact that it's a heck of a lot more work; an extra 9 textures, in fact, changing the markings on the body, which also means they get very horribly stretched for fat and hulk bodies. It's the fact that, like the Viera, it doesn't make sense for them to use those body types. Every single one of my xenotypes uses set body types for each gender. How is it only now that there's suddenly an issue?

- they only have standard body textures, and should only spawn with standard bodies. All of the body types are a lot of work and it didnt make sense for me to draw the fat body types for an Au Ra when in FFXIV, they're slim.

- that... no. I have so many xenotypes that use gendered heads, thats a lot of work for something im pretty sure can be patched on the other mods end, allowing it to default to a certain texture if a non-binary one isn't found

I think I got a bug with the mod
for some reason it seems like it cant properly load the icons of the Au Ra which totally locks up xenotype editing

Are all stats listed in the genes? I threw a bunch of the race perks together and noticed the lalafell gene (atleast that's what it's credited too) has a great buff too food consumption that isnt listed on its gene stats

A really minor thing I noticed while translating your wonderful mod, but isn't “LalafellEa2~” a typo in the “Textures\Things\Pawn\ERN_Lalafell\Ears” folder?
Of course it does not interfere with the operation and I apologize if this was the intention.
I commend you from Japan for the excellent job you have done! I am using a translator, so I apologize if I am being rude.

P.S.
You seem to be very busy, do you have any plans to add Midlander,Highlander,Elezen races in the future?
This is a really great mod and I would be really happy if it could be added someday.

Is it intended for Lalfell to eat so much ? Problem in max nutrition numbers, which are depends on body size multiplier. Food bar need for Lalfell pawn have value of 0.25, each time it drops to zero pawn consumes 1 full meal, so in one day Lalfell pawn eat four more times than baseliner xenotype. I think it is not how it must be and this is big problem for colony. Can u make some changes?

Lalafell have a bug when you use the Erin's Body Retexture, all get the standard male body, i'm not sure if this is something to do with load order but i try different orders and it did not fix it.

- these are the updated ones from 1.4, so no. Lalafell were legit only thrown in as an extra because they were easy to make. Hrothgar require a lot of effort and time that right now I do not have.
