They are a "Federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy" that is independent of britain, but not of the british crown as charles is still their monarch. Imo the flag should change to something different than modern day

I think the base games version of the flag is better, especially since that's the point of breaking away from British rule.

@Way That is the flag of Australia in the modern day although they aren't a subject of britain, that is intentional.

Only problem that I noticed is after forming Australia and managing to gain independence the flag still remains the same, with the union jack on the top left despite the fact that you aren't a subject of Britain anymore.

Do you know if there is any method to define nation-independent, government-type-oriented dynamic country names?

Like if the gov_type is republic, the country is named "Republic of $NAME$". I just want to get rid of all this naming per nation.

@C4-973 Because if you look at the old mod it is 3 gigabytes of badly coded flags, names, and colours that spew literally millions of errors and in some cases don't even work. I'll get around to adding more abstract flags at some point.

Still using the old re-upload of the mod because you're missing some of the weirder communist ideologies and some other stuff, no idea why you wouldnt just copy all of the old stuff as a base and build off it

Love the mod. When under the British it would be cool for Australia to be called the Commonwealth Of Australia and Canada to be the Dominion Of Canada. Also the colonial Senegal regions being changed to West Africa makes more sense to me. Thanks

Great mod, Im just having an issue where the map flags are random flags. For example as netherlands in war with belgium. usually controlled territories show dutch flags but there all some random ai looking flag. same for other nations (only when they control a state). is there something im doing wrong? i only have all the mods in the CMF folder

No localization for Slovakia when you release it as Austria and it's named as "dyn_".
Also when you form Czechslovakia as Bohemia.

what's the criteria for german flag? In my games german empire always has the same flag as modern germany
not sure if it's something in my modlist clashing with this mod or intended behaviour

@Zemas I don't know why you don't like them and getting rid of it would take you days of work, but, if you really want to get rid of it go to all the dynamic names files and get rid of all entries for all countries that are for them being a subject.

Is there a way to edit the mod flies to keep the vanilla flags? I like the color changes and the name changes but I personally prefer the vanilla flags. I tried deleting in the files what I thought were the flags but that did seem to do anything. Also thank you for the mod.
