Ahh yis........."that" rock. The hash hauler's headache just on the west edge. Many a swamper running to Flats Lagoon has died stopping at "that" rock only to be ambushed by spiders, gutters or swamp dregs. If it dont fix that path then I must pass lol.

This does not add any new content, nor add anything to any sort of in game items. It only changes the route the AI uses to send in game NPC roaming squads to move from point A to point B.

@Arcano[ITA] To be clear, you had pressed the Play button on Steam and clicked the option to start the Kenshi game launcher correct? And then when you did you navigated from the intial tab that has the options on if you want to play borderless or fullscreen as well as resolution and graphics settings to the one that says 'Mods', correct?

Because at the moment you don't seem to give off the impression how this mod is meant to work. It is designed so the AI Squads in the game follow the roads more clearly. NOT your player controlled characters.

Furthermore, if you are wondering about the screenshot's in the images. Those are done using the in game dev edit mode that you can LOOK UP yourself in the GAME'S KEYBIND menu. Does that answer your question sufficiently?

Arcano[ITA], when you subscribe to any mod, usually game activates it. But if you want to be sure it’s activated, you can check it from the pop-up window that appears when you start the game. There are tabs, and one of them is the mods tab. You can check which mod is active or passive from there.

Anyway, I just came to say thanks for the excellent mod and to say I'm happy to see it getting so popular! You clearly put care into this, and most people...can't be bothered, even when they are immensely, constantly, apocalyptically bothered. So thank you. You could've been just another numeral in the seeming everspring that is the magazine feeding the shit-cannon we refer to as the internet, but instead you made a lovely mod, and made a lot of people significantly less frustrated. So again, I, and I am certain many others, are grateful for what you have done here. All the best :)

I actually can add to that, it seems like a bug that appears, I'm not even sure its related to this mod necessarily, regardless of whether it is or not: I also made some road adjustments, nothing that could cause any issue, only added like 14 segments in my metropolis (I am de facto meticulous when it comes to doing such things)...and the editor tells me there's 4 broken segments in some place across the map.

Again, 4 segments, way off in fucksville. Couldn't even locate them for you because I immediately dismissed it every time I checked. It seems more like a Kenshi problem than this mod, because this mod is...very well done, and Kenshi is also very well done but more in the sense of a meat than a game (I love you Kenshi developers, rest in peace :beeped: inshallah). So as always, I'm gonna blame the developers of The Isle. What actual the fuck guys, get it together.

@BudaKhan Absolutely no clue, I've had some issues but no errors from the editor. I'm just very cautious when I edit, and I load (basically) 0 mods when I do. I can't think of anything in particular that would contribute to not having errors. Dumb luck probably.

Yo Mista Matrix I'd love to chat with you about how the heck you got no road errors (phantom) after making your edits to the network. Man, I made a couple of mods to my roads, and the editor returned four errors not connected to anything I had touched. Mods in the discussion said this is typical. Just curious how this mod has ZERO errors. LOL

Wow... ran from the BZ waystation to the Hub for the first time, dust boyz in tow, uninterrupted for the first time playing Kenshi. 10/10 mod. I'd love to know (I've done teeny bits of road editing) how long it took you and how many fixes were required.

The rock on the road from the swamps to the flats blocks the path(the one directly NE of Gray flayer village), if you ever have time for that
I could never get my nav meshes to work or save. Unity handles mine so im a loser and never learned.

@Sasquatch Pathfinding mods have specific values for "road preference" and other thinks like water avoidance. The pathfinding isn't hard coded if that's what you wondering, it should be based on whatever roads are in your game.
(At least I think)

@sasquatch I've only ever used the lite version which only changes values for the races, I'm not sure what the main mod does actually . You can edit the navmesh with the shift+f12 menu, but you have to be sure that any changes are saved to a mod that you have made with the FCS.

If you take suggestions:

The Swamps, Burning Forest, Wetlands, etc have many, many pathing issues; the Swamps especially. Having those fixed would be a godsend for long distance travel w/o a need for babysitting.

Yo theo, pretty sure the description states MEGA works with SCARaw to make compatibility patches for as many playable races and animals as possible, so I'm going to make an estimated guess, and say it's the same pathfinding he uses, but just applied to the new races added by mods.

This is great! Roads seem to be broken in so many dang places. Just check the Swamp. So many times my characters just freeze because the road ends, and suddenly they are being devoured by blood spiders.

@theo anything that changes the road network I assume is incompatible, however SCARaw's mod has a version that only changes values for the different playable races. I don't know about MEGA's, I've never used it.

That would be awesome to correct all weird navmeshes accross the world. Even with SCARaw path finding fix, the npcs sometimes get blocked and end up idle in middle of nowhere (the hive trader running to your base for example). Save/reload fix that but it's somehow PITA to do that every hour.
Def another mod we didn't know we needed :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

@crunk aint dead yeah they're pretty horrific, to the point it might need more than just moving some points around (I mostly meant this as a simple fix, but I did imagine there were plenty more areas that would probably need adjusting). I'll see about it but I won't make any guarantees.

there are a ton of these throughout the map. If you plan on expanding this there are a bunch of areas in Shun which are completely broken (Roads crossing cliffs, etc.).

This is also incompatible with CATO if anyones curious
