Cool mod man. But is there anyway of removing the gallowsbait gain? It can be really brutal how quickly it racks up

Even when I dont raise my army as raiders they come back to the camp and I gain the gallowsbait trait. Im tired of it tbh. It would be nice if this could be fixed

Yeah, the gallowbait trait really needs to be adjusted; raiding is a different action than holding people up

add_loot doesn't remove loot if you are full. Example: Your loot is at 98/98. In that instance, add_loot doesn't fire because the engine doesn't understand the concept of removing loot gold. Hopefully the engine is fixed for this. I'd try and report it as a bug to PDX.

heck even Christian on Christian is okay as long as they aren't discovered. If there was a % chance you get discovered, that'd make it even more immersive, but I think this mod is a failed idea currently due to all the other comments. I'd avoid.

i.e. Christian landless raiding other christain? Gallowbait. Christian raiding pagan? They'd be hailed.

Same vice versa, and even pagan on pagan would be okay, depending on the pagan cultures. Norse pagan raiding baltic pagan.

Heck muslim on muslim raiding happened a LOT too, especially between Arabs and berbers and more.

Gallowbait? Uhm. I like the idea but forget about all the other execution issues...

I do not like the idea that they get punished universally. It would really be culture dependent. Many cultures would not punish this, as long as they raid outside where their camp is located. MANY.

In addition to the automatic gallowsbait issues reported by other users, this causes adventurer armies to be raised with no supplies regardless of your current provisions level. (At least for me, nobody I know plays CK3 so I can't check if it's isolated). Fantastic idea, but currently unplayable in execution.

With this whenever my army returns from an actual war (not raiding) they get points in gallows bait. Does not appear to be working correctly.

returning loot is a bit bugged it seems
if your return to your camp when at max loot capacity you get the money but the loot isnt removed from your army

Harriet - The real reason why Feudal/Administrative/Reformed can't raid is to preserve integrity of game state. When everyone is raiding, the whole world is very low county control and development and you're basically in the dark ages forever. You don't really want the development map 200 years in to look the same as the development from when you first launched your start date because everything is raided at all times.

The other mod which did this could not figure out how to properly deliver the loot - so when you raided, the loot was automatically/immediately delivered to you. With this mod, you need to properly go back home to deliver the goods, and I like it this way better.

There was another mod that also did this, but I believe it was more basic, this one actually uses the Gallowsbait trait.

Awesome! I was using another mod for this but it instantly gave you the money. Can't wait to use this one so there's actually some challenge and I can't just raid with almost no risk lol

Hell yeah! When landless adventurers came out I always thought that you should've been able to raid. Roleplaying as a band of medieval mercenary knights who doesn't get rightfully paid by the lord they fight in a war for, I can now take what I'm owed in fire and blood. 🔥🩸 Not to mention being a viking is gonna be so much more fun and an immersive story experience. Gonna go play as Ubbe Ragnarrson now to truly become the Scourge of the Saxons. ⚔️
