Getting this error, and it basically makes the models for the ship and bullets invisible. I really hope you have the time and want to fix this, but still, thank you for making this mod, it brought a lot of joy whenever I played it.

I got the mod and for me it didn't work. by that it works but the models wont load the ship is not there also the bullets don't show.

AMAZING! I do recommend adding a small, white orb on the ship to represent the hitbox. You've probably seen this from touhou, but If it cannot be done, I say this mod was cooked to perfection! :smile:

@sirmentio yes, while the bullet patterns in this mod aren't as great as those in games like Touhou, you have to keep in mind that this is a mod made for Audiosurf, a music puzzle game. The genres for these two games are completely different, so criticizing this mod against something like Touhou isn't fair.

Alright, this mod is great, it's fantastic. I love the concept, plus the added Blitz mode and iron mode. But there's just one issue I have: The objective to me doesn't seem so much as a "dodge the bullets", morseo it's a "scramble around the screen in hopes a sudden large bullet doesn't suddenly hit you and ruin your multiplier". What I'm saying as it needs bullet patterns more suited for something like Touhou, in which you could actually see some sort of small pattern and find some way to dodge it. I like this mod, but that's just a flaw that I find it hard to get past.

This is hands down one of the best mods/game modes/games I have ever played.

Playing this with D&B is hard as (bullet)hell :D

Yeah, the alternate mode skins weren't tested for balance all that well. Mostly I was just curious to see if I could make that mechanic work at all. I should probably increase the rank penalty for getting hit in blitz by another factor or two, which will help moderate the scores a bit. Letting the player rank go negative is something I hadn't thought about, but that basically implies the point penalty for messing up badly enough. Might be worth giving a shot and seeing how it plays. I appreciate the feedback!

Hey, this is a question about balance.
When using blitz skins even if you screw up a lot you're still bound to get better scores than regular users. This needs some sort of balance, how about having blitz take a hit from both your score and your rank, or have it put your rank into the negative zone when you screw up too bad? As of right now it's easy to top leaderboards because you use blitz.

A couple of noteworthy changes in today's update. First off, and primarily of interest to any of you brave/crazy enough to dive into the mod's code, I've moved some of the recurring patterns into their own functions now, which should hopefully make the code a bit more readable and reusable.

More importantly for those of you that are just here to play, a new skin called "the grid" has been added, courtesy of Dylan. Many thanks to him for supplying that! As with the two existing skins, this one comes in normal, blitz, and ironmode flavors. Happy dodging!

Small update tonight, folks. Added a deathbombing mechanic along the lines of Touhou, and a few new options in the skins that trigger higher difficulty levels...more to see if I could make them work than because the game needed them. Blitz mode makes rank changes more extreme and raises the rank cap, and Ironmode is a cruel joke gives the player a limited supply of lives. These really haven't been adequately tested for score balance, so your feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
