@chris The 8F is a pretty tough loco, and must have been a nice change for many drivers used to engines like the LNWR G2. Assembling shunting scenarios for this route can be quite tricky as the dispatcher can route the player in all sorts of interesting directions. I think a slog over Woodhead proper with an 8F is probably in order.

Earned a quick brew after that slog up the hill. Thrashed the 8F up to Mottram Yard. Great fun and as ever nice mix of shunting and running. Hard work persuading the 8F up the hills so can only imagine what it was like for the poor old fireman. Like the 35 mph limit - not many places on that run, with that length of consist where could achieve that speed. Realistic and enjoyable run thank you HS. Kind Regards. Chris
