I would agree that they are too good. It would be improved if the stats in the items were significantly nerfed and there was a gamerule to make them only spawn on adventures to their home regions.

I ended up having to unsubscribe because these relics are just so good they obsolete anything else. I still think it's a very cool, great mod. it just is too good.

- Added Mesopotamian artifacts with gamerule control
- Added Egyptian artifacts with gamerule control

Once All Under Heaven drops, please add the three Sacred Treasures of Japan.

Also, tone down Thor's Hammer. +20 Prowess alone is just way too good.

@Zarcoff Currently working on that, along with additional Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Chinese, and some fun Easter egg artifacts.

@Matt The artifacts spawn at game start, not when a character gains the trait.

@shaitan jihadi Artifact searching will likely be in a later update, together with cultural and religious relic acquisition.

@crazyscot2012 The character just needs the correct cultural heritage (e.g., Goidelic or Brythonic).

With university starting back up, updates may come a bit slower. I’ll do my best, but I’m a solo dev. :steamthumbsup:

So is there a religion requirement for some of the Celtic items? I started as a Goidelic character and it said I didn't fit the requirements. (Was Asatru.)

Just a suggestion: maybe there could be an option to randomly disperse the artifacts across the map and there be a way if you’re of that culture or religion to declare war for that artifact.

So will only lovecraftian artifacts spawn in only if your starting character is possessed, lunatic or eccentric or can they spawn in randomly when a character gets those traits?

I wanted to see all the artifacts, but the debug disc that gives you all the artifacts doesn't seem to work properly. The artifact mode that blends well with vanilla is really cool. I hope you continue to develop this mode. Thank you for the wonderful mode!

@Cambr You need Clarent, the sword in the stone to see the decision. Excalibur allows you to raise an army when taking the decision.

SpeedyScorpion3 It should be compatible and it really shouldn't matter where you place it as along the vanilla cultures aren't removed. There are a lot of artifacts so the initial loading might take a little longer.

It could definitely do with some Kushitism artifacts, for sure.
I'd also recommend having the Hellenic artifacts trigger with Eastern Roman traditions *or* Hellenism religion.

this is really cool a suggestion i have is to add some thing from Mesopotamian mythology like Shamash's Radiant Axe: This celestial weapon, gifted to Gilgamesh by the sun god Shamash, radiated divine light and could cleave through any obstacle. It was also believed to bestow wisdom, allowing its wielder to discern truth from falsehood.

@scottytsr From my understanding, that is due to how the game notifies the player of artifacts. Since this is a debug option mainly for me, I won't be trying to change that.

@Augustus, I would love to completely avoid using AI and I try, but I don't have the necessary skills. However, if anyone wants to contribute their skills, I will happily credit them.

@MakeLoveNotWar I'm working on decisions tied to artifacts, but yeah, I would love to add those in the future.

@JimmyG1970 No to the AGOT artifacts, maybe lightsabers as an easter egg.

@atron1792 no sorry. When I execute the decision, the pop-ups telling me that I have the artifacts go one by one. Even when I click on the 3 lines and then don't show that notification, they still come. So its 150 notification that the artifact was lost from someone else, and then 150 notification that I received the artifact. During that time, there is significant lag from the messages (it lags every time a notification pops up). I was wondering if there was a way for the artifacts to just be in the inventory without the notifications

Sorry for the lack of updates, I got injured and I've just been laying around really unmotivated. Right now I'm working on different localizations mainly with AI, message me if you want to contribute and I'll credit you. I've also started working on decision tied to certain artifacts, please feel free to suggest ideas regarding those.

@scottytsr I don't understand what you mean, did you want a button to get rid of the artifact spawning decision?

Any chance there can be a decision to not have a notification? I love the mod but for like 6 minutes after engaging the decision, I'm still waiting becasue the game will skip every artifact?

Woah, these looks insane. I would've loved to see Sif's other gifts from the drawfs and Loki from the myth like her golden hair, or the mythical boat that always sails in the wind. This actually looks insane already.

Doing a Hellenism / Roman / Byzantine run right now, I'd love to see more Greco-Roman artifacts.
In fact, if you don't mind, I'll download this and mod it a bit for myself, and share if it's any good, since I'm already fixing up another mod today.

I second the suggestion of Zeus' lightning. In myth he doesn't actually have electricity powers. Heck he doesn't even have the innate power to control the weather.

The lightning bolt was made by the Cyclopes and later recreated by Hephaestus.

Weather control came from his throne on Mount Olympus when he and his brothers split up the Sky, Ocean, and Underworld.

So another artifact could be "Throne of Olympus" like how you have Odin's throne.

I'm also going to take this chance to mention that the duplication is kinda crazy. Maybe put a flag to prevent spawning if one already exists? Run an annual check or make them indestructible?

I'd also suggest that they not spawn on start. Maybe an event chain or take inspiration from the Elf mod with ruin locations.
