Artifacts of Myth adds powerful, myth-inspired relics to your game, each with powerful effects.

Last Major Updates: 1.8
- Added Mesopotamian artifacts with gamerule control
- Added Egyptian artifacts with gamerule control
- Added Chinese artifacts with gamerule control
- Added Easter Egg artifacts with gamerule control

Artifact Spawn Conditions:
  • Norse artifacts will spawn with Asatru rulers and if none of those exist then North Germanic rulers
  • Greco-Roman artifacts will spawn with Greek rulers
  • Abrahamic artifacts will spawn with their respective rulers, whether that be Christianity, Islam, or Judaism
  • Celtic artifacts will spawn with Goidelic rulers
  • Arthurian artifacts will spawn with Brythonic rulers
  • Finno-Ugric artifacts will spawn with Finno-Ugric rulers and if none of those exist then Balto-Finnic/ Ugro-Permian/ Volga-Finnic rulers
  • Slavic artifacts will spawn with Slavic rulers and if none of those exist then West Slavic/ East Slavic rulers
  • Lovecraftian artifacts will spawn with lunatic/ possessed/ eccentric characters
  • Mesopotamian artifacts will spawn with Caucasian/ Syriac/ Iranian rulers
  • Egyptian artifacts will spawn with Egyptian and East African rulers
  • Chinese artifacts will spawn with Chinese/ Qiangic/ Tibetan rulers
  • Easter Egg artifacts will spawn with any rulers

Planned Development:
  • Shinto (Japanese) artifacts with gamerule control
  • Hindu (Indian) artifacts with gamerule control
  • Tengri (Mongol) artifacts with gamerule control
  • Artifact search
  • Cultural/religious artifact acquisition

Inspired by More Unique Artifacts and the many great CK2 artifact mods.

The art is generated using ChatGPT’s image tools with editing by me.

French, German, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish localization is machine translated through Google Translate and ChatGPT.

Should be compatible with most mods, except total conversions.

Once All Under Heaven drops, please add the three Sacred Treasures of Japan.

Also, tone down Thor's Hammer. +20 Prowess alone is just way too good.

@Zarcoff Currently working on that, along with additional Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Chinese, and some fun Easter egg artifacts.

@Matt The artifacts spawn at game start, not when a character gains the trait.

@shaitan jihadi Artifact searching will likely be in a later update, together with cultural and religious relic acquisition.

@crazyscot2012 The character just needs the correct cultural heritage (e.g., Goidelic or Brythonic).

With university starting back up, updates may come a bit slower. I’ll do my best, but I’m a solo dev. :steamthumbsup:

So is there a religion requirement for some of the Celtic items? I started as a Goidelic character and it said I didn't fit the requirements. (Was Asatru.)

Just a suggestion: maybe there could be an option to randomly disperse the artifacts across the map and there be a way if you’re of that culture or religion to declare war for that artifact.

So will only lovecraftian artifacts spawn in only if your starting character is possessed, lunatic or eccentric or can they spawn in randomly when a character gets those traits?

I wanted to see all the artifacts, but the debug disc that gives you all the artifacts doesn't seem to work properly. The artifact mode that blends well with vanilla is really cool. I hope you continue to develop this mode. Thank you for the wonderful mode!

I would imagine that mod that allows you to buy & sell artifacts also works with this as well right?
