This had to of been inspired by The Grand Cathedral from Serious Sam The Second Encounter. There's too much similarities for me to think otherwise, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yeah, after a bit more playtime this map really isn't it.

Why does the under side of the drawbridge kill you while it's lowering? It doesn't crush you or anything, it just flat out kills you if you even dare touch the under side at any time while it's very slowly lowering.

Also really frustrated with how often the tank seems to cause janky crushing deaths, especially on BLU. I understand and apologize if it's intentional when you're in front of the tank while it's moving (and I assume it is given the train kill icon), Frontier does that after all. But I'm talking how often it seems to happen when I'm at the sides, and I'm pretty certain even the back of the tank rarely, even if it doesn't look like I was crushed against anything.

This map was not ready. Looked ready in terms of appearance, but in gameplay it sure wasn't. Such is the tragedy of many maps that get into the game these days.

clearly you aren't seeing the problem.
The sentries on car gimmick achieve only 1 thing and that is making stomps MUCH easier. If the teams are actually ballanced it's literally useless.
THEN YOU ASK YOURSELF WHATS THE POINT OF THE GIMMICK IF IT ADS NOTHING TO THE GAMEPLAY

to be clear: I really like the map otherwise! the gate/moat thing is very fun and the best part of the map imo. Really like all the ways you can go, but I fear it may take a while for the general playerbase to learn them.

Wanted to leave my thoughts after a couple rounds. Sentries are barely worth mentioning, because they can just be. killed. What is much more powerful imo is being able to stick a tele on the cart. One engi with a tele, permanently glued to the entrance repairing, and heavies to feed through it and it becomes incredibly difficult to stop. That can take quite a bit of setup, though, and my main gripes with this map are really the second and last points. The second point is the most chokey in the map, far more difficult to push through from blu's side than any other, though it could just be people being unacquainted with the map. Last is by far the most blu-sided point, though. Defense on red is super hard because clearing the cart is impossible; the enemy team can literally just hide behind it. Honestly, making red's side of last much more open and accessible visually, with the default spawn being above the cart, maybe moved a little closer to the main path, would probably help.

I noticed that there's an unused image on the map files meant for the "class image" for TF2's main menu. Maybe let the TF2 Team know about it?

How it made it through durring playtests? On THG, one good sniper was enough to wreck the engies right out of the gate, allowing the explosives to clear the tank. Yes, 3 engies tried to circuit, and wrangler in different combinations.

Engies were more often than not, prevented from restablishing sentries on the tank, until after RED gets cleared away from each point. The engies ALWAYS need to enter a big sniper sightline to get back onto the tank to place their sentry down.

Rins and repeat.

It is a team effort to establish, remove, and to keep up.

The main thing holding this map back is the gimmick that it was pushing. Seriously, I had a lot more fun playing this map when BLU either had no Engineers or they didn't know about the gimmick.

Mobile Sentries are not something most players are used to dealing with under conventional circumstances, on top of how BLU literally has infinite metal for the Short Circuit to protect the Sentries since the tank still has all of the usual functions of a Payload cart. Genuinely don't understand how that could've made it through playtesting with no complaints. I know it's a pipe dream, but I hope this ends up getting the Short Circuit nerfed.

In short, map would be decent if it wasn't for the gimmick of allowing Engies to build on the tank.

unlimited BLU short circuit spam turns this map into: promising in theory to disastrous in reality. Citadel accentuates the biggest balance flaw w the short circuit.

There's a lack of signs to point out where the next point should be, mostly on the flank routes that deviate to many paths
I would also suggest that there should be tank prints on the path, so that it's the themed equivalent of the rails to follow the path to the payload when respawning

Such a great map, I'm glad it was added and I hope it stays in the game.
Was really scared that the gimmick would suck but it's actually super fun!
Wonderful map, with fun paths and spots.

The final twist turning the last checkpoint into a control point is chef's kiss :dslike:

Hope this inspires more maps with this type of PL!

This is such a fun map to play on, gz on it being in the update :D
One thing though, the cart dispenser is absurdly fast and i've found unless you're up against multiple direct hits or loch'n'loads, a sentry being healed by stock just will not die, may have caused a few ragequits doing that lmfao

Seriously, this is such a breath of fresh air and feels amazing to play. Congrats on getting in! Don't listen to Zesty bozos saying "omg its an overwatch map". THIS is how we want maps to play and feel like.
