@zenarchist for this issue turn off texture compression and turn on Double Texture Size, i was able to toggle the visual bug with those settings

I have this weird glitch i think which the container stays open and didn't close back when i go far from the container. Is this normal? sorry for my bad english

@Cybergoat I get that bug too on my dedicated server. Not sure what causes it but just wanted to say it's happening to me as well, that exact bug with the big semi-transparent warped containers. I think it's a conflict with another mod but not sure which one yet.

It only happened to me after I added these mods to my server (I was running this mod fine for weeks, then added these new mods and it broke - no idea why any of them would conflict tho):

so.. is there just nothing I can do for my save? I didn't read the description and uninstalled this mod mid save. is there just no way to fix the invisible container bug? I even reinstalled the mod and enabled it.

Reporting this mod works fine alongside my other 400+ modded server!

Only MINOR issue is that the open state of a container is not registered by other mods, but getting around that is super easy: just highlight the ground so the container closes.

Major kudo's on this mod. Love the extra immersion

@Indra Mahesa that is already in the mod´s description:

"It is safe to add or remove items mid-game. However, if you remove the mod, the opened containers will no longer be visible but will still be there, and you won’t be able to move them."

Hi, is there a way to remove the "added" display inside the cabinet when it's opened, once it's filled? I used to decorate cabinets, and before, when you closed and reopened the cabinet, the display would disappear, but not anymore.

I’m having a problem with a mod.
It’s installed on my dedicated server where my friend and I play.
For me, the mod works perfectly.
But for my friend, any opened container appears visually shifted, as if it’s closer to the screen, and becomes semi-transparent.
We wanted to remove the mod because of this, but it turned out that the crates from the Fort Redstone mod are always considered “open,” and they became invisible.
Do you have any ideas why this might be happening to my friend and how to fix it?

@williamasecas - Yes, I’d like to make containers appear open in looted houses. I looked into it, and it’s harder than it seems. There’s no event that gets triggered when the game decides that a house spawns as looted, so I’ll have to find an alternative way.

There is a mod that makes cars to spawn with randomly doors open, windows down, or trunks open.

It would be cool if the same were possible with containers, so it looks like if everywhere was looted before giving a more chaotic atmospere.

It could be a different small mod or an optional feature in this one.

Greatest mod on the Workshop; been using it ever since discovery! Not is it just freaking immersive, it's also quite neat regarding knowing which buildings have been visited/looted :steamthumbsup:

@zzdetc - Never, this is not a bug. The open version is a new sprite; if you remove the mod while you have open containers, they will disappear. There’s nothing I can do about that. This will happen with any mod that adds new sprites.

@aℜℯى - In vanilla, you cannot dismantle any container if it has items inside. I believe the mod "Disassemble Container With Items" is causing the duplication issue you mentioned. When you dismantle furniture, do it with the container open and there shouldn't be any problem. I’ll try to make it so that if you're dismantling a closed container, it doesn't automatically open during the action.

everything literally duplicates and items inside respawn too when i dismantle wardrobes while they are open or are opened when i hover over it to dismantle it and it accidentally opens...

@Kirosawa @tokyo85 – For build 42, no mod is needed to configure the mod options. In-game, press Esc, go to OPTIONS, then MODS.

It would be great to bring an animation for 'searching.' Initially, it could be that animation of the character preparing items to perform an action by moving their little hands.

@Cyrisa - Install the Decoholic mod and you’ll be able to choose whichever 'tabletop' you want, and it will be preserved when opening/closing the container. My mod is compatible with this aspect of the Decoholic mod. For now, what you won’t be able to do is choose the overlay for the inside of the container — I need the mod’s author to make it compatible.

After reading the latest update notes "Decorative 'tabletop' furniture overlays"

I am curious if there is a way to allow the player to select or cycle through the various tabletop overlays for each furniture item? One of the biggest downsides is when I pick up furniture and lose its custom sprite. It would be great if I could select them.

@SJZ-BB-LONG - For me there’s sound both when I open/close the container manually and when it’s done automatically with AutoOpen/AutoClose. For now, only the containers that have sound in vanilla have sound.

@Mazmundie - This mod checks for any highlighted container within a radius of 2 tiles from the player. If none are found, no action is taken. If one is detected, the container will be automatically opened or closed (if the option is enabled), or made interactable via the keybind. Leaving containers open has no impact on performance.

The only issue I have with this mod is my home always looks ransacked, it'd be cool if there was a "keep closed" state the player can turn on.

@Hello - I looked into it and there were some issues. Pressing the key worked, but the tick box didn’t update. For now, when you’re at home, go into modOptions and disable autoOpen or enable autoClose. When you leave, do the opposite. I’ll try to add it, since quite a few of you have asked for it.

Nevermind, restarting the game fixed the issue.
When i joined my server previously it installed update from workshop, but it did not apply i guess.
Restarted the game, all good.

Would it be possible to make an option to where the mod only opens a container if you actively take something out of it? That way just looking through items in your base wont open every single container?
