more silence than the original file's length, means that soundcache won't detect any gaps, and the screeching is always gone after that. like, yes, the file will be a bit longer than the original file, but it won't have any screeching, so it's good enough. still have to figure out how to make it perfect, however this is a good compromise if nothing else works. though tedious.
procrastinate and whine to yourself about it not being worth it. actually "finished" isn't entirely correct too. I figure it still has some cutout screeches that I haven't pinpointed yet... anyway anyone who makes workshop addons deserves a break, so I'll go get one, and wish for you to get one too
