right? my theory is that it somehow shortens the file's length, based on tempo, or it detects silence... yeah I can only theorize. since screeching happens because the file's length is shorter than soundcache file detects (I think...), generally, one can just take the audio file, and add more silence to it's length.
more silence than the original file's length, means that soundcache won't detect any gaps, and the screeching is always gone after that. like, yes, the file will be a bit longer than the original file, but it won't have any screeching, so it's good enough. still have to figure out how to make it perfect, however this is a good compromise if nothing else works. though tedious.

the screeches is what bugs me the most too, i get the sound file to have the perfect length, same sample rate, everything is peachy, then i test it in game, and random screeching... ughhhhhhhhhhhh i really do wish i knew how people do it, it seemingly happens so randomly too, like i'm somehow missing something. thank you for the well wishes lol

figures, I finished this addon by just spite at that point, so I know how it feels
procrastinate and whine to yourself about it not being worth it. actually "finished" isn't entirely correct too. I figure it still has some cutout screeches that I haven't pinpointed yet... anyway anyone who makes workshop addons deserves a break, so I'll go get one, and wish for you to get one too
