The best solution here would be to have a fork of the mod that is nerfed for @lewisdoom and others not playing an max settings.

Yup, despite their high bonuses, they always get killed early.
But we mostly play with several team (with AI fighting AI), so if you're only players VS AI, yeah, the Space Marines can be troublesome because nothing will cripple them.

ah ,we just normally use this mod with friends vs ai on hard or so with just the Heroes of legend collection.

Just the rapid early game unit spawn + loyalty means space marines are effectively always set to max difficulty due to how rapidly the loyalty stacks up early leading to there economy ramping up so fast, they just obliterate any ai around em and it ends up being just bad luck if you as a human player spawn near them when they are getting out 3 or so units a turn

like i said we enjoy the challenge it creates for the late game and mid but space marines are wildly more powerful than any other faction with this mod early right now.

Its interesting that you find they are normally the first to be killed! In our games they are normally very quite resilient against other ai clearly a big difference when you jump up to max difficulty. but i guess that math works out, at max they already have 100 loyalty?

I beefed them because they was always the first faction to be killed by enemy AI. I gave them free unit spawn to avoid this.

If you think they're too much powerful in early game, i can rework that.

That is intentional to make Space Marines more viable. The mod is intended to be played on max difficulty. Whenever Devian and I do matches we do max difficulty using Advanced Setup mods so its balanced around that.

Noticing this mod seems to be spawning space marine units from turn one, this itself wouldn't be a problem, but every unit it spawns for them gives them 10 loyalty! i thought it was only meant to give them heavy and other big units?

have double checked and its definitely this mod from the collection, its a shame cause i like the challenge this mod gives to the late game, but it really breaks the game when the space marines get hundreds of loyalty for free! it effectively forces you to fight them on max difficulty all the time.

In my current game, the AI Tau seems to keep producing units at turn 90(and more) but i've "Worthy Tau" enabled.

I'm pretty sure they have enough resources, whether I'm in spectator mode or as a friendly AI, they clearly have an excess of resources.

It's a strange behaviour indeed, mostly because i only add two ability and not edited anything else on the faction.

When you remove the fog of war to check the Tau city, their unit buildings are off ? Did they have the ressources for create them ?

@Trazyn the Infinite the AI isn't directly modified. Try the mod "Worthy Tau" perhaps that will fix it? The only modifications this mod does is give a secret ability for the AI to use that gives them loyalty generating heavy/super-heavies. The loyalty is to ensure the AI actually uses it.

I think this happens mostly with the Tau? Around turn 50, after their early infantry runs out, they stop making any more units and only rely on the units spawned by this mod.

That's a curious behaviour indeed. I tweaked the mod lately to avoid enormous spam in mid game. But no, it should not affect regular units production.

This mod definitely makes some factions much more challenging to play against. But I'm not sure if it's related - in the late game, my AI teammates stop producing regular units (even when they've accumulated tons of resources), and only spawn the units provided by this mod. Have you encountered this before?

That was a long and tough fight, but very challenging. We nearly lose the game during the mid-game but another AI distract our opponent that gives us the time to recover and strikes back.

Devian and I just finished a max difficulty co-op game (+140 loyalty for AI) and 5 teams of 2. It took us 171 turns and 3000 units were created across all factions, 400 were heavy/super-heavy. It twas a long and gruesome fight. I highly recommend all his mods especially free heavy/super-heavy for AI factions.

Resources were all on medium, so our economy was based on the deploy-able resources from his item mod.

Using all the mods together is the true Gladius experience.

Thank you for your unbelievable miraculous modding works. It truly is mind reeling wondrous the amount and quality of your mods. I downloaded all of them today and started playing Space Marines and was blown away how much it enriches their unit count and the additional great game mechanics. Its also fantastic to see compatibility patches for GLADIUS + and TOO MANY VOICES. Thank you for the outstanding work and for the gaming joy it brings :coffeeTLD::Gauntlet_Ham::cherrypie::admech:

Before this mod, I was disabled and living with my older brother. This is still true but I am a little less bored.
