Tahiti is a french subject at gamestart when it wasn't historically. This disallows Chile to colonize Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Also, Araucania (irl araucania, search in google: from biobio river down to valdivia) is occupied by Chile in the game when it wasn't until 1861-1891.

Would you expect conflicts with Kuromi's AI? I have this mod loaded to take precedence over kuromi's AI. I just like both very much and the AI is truly overperforming I have to say, wonderful to see, but there might be some mischief under the blanket that might be confusing the AI, so I am asking specifically about this one, since it is such a widely popular mod, but still has a way to go, as AI is randomly deleting fleets and armies. You perhaps have taken some inspiration from it

But there isn't any railroading that wasn't already in the game in some form. Most of it is just fixing what definitely doesn't work as intended.

If by railroading you mean any changes to existing content, you could try deleting journa entries, scripted buttons, events and decisions, but that would mess with AI behaviour.

I would very much like to use this mod as a sandbox with the plethora of its fixes and improvements without the historical railroading. Could you help me pointing out which files to delete? Would deleting journal entries file be sufficient?

Hey, thanks for making this mod!
The Great Game doesn’t work in Sandbox mode. I tested it and no journal entries appeared.
Also, could you make a small add-on or game setting to keep the “Overlord Color for All Subjects” like vanilla?

The mod accidentally made Prussia not liberate Schleswig-Holstein, it is fixed now. Italy should also be back on the map.

I can't make all historic events guaranteed without scripting AI to pursue them just for the sake of it. Devs for example made Ottomans believe that their army is 10 times bigger during calculations whether to attack holder of the Syrian states. So they will attack even if you, the player, control it and have 10 times their army. I try to make historic events happen because of the historical reasons, so for example US is less likely to attack Mexico if it has antislavery and no jingoist government members.

This is the only version of this mod. If you like the unification stuff I think that the other small changes won't bother you. I am deleting more of them as the devs are adding them to the base game like the Italian unification rework or now the Peru-Bolivia ai changes.

Sick Man requires now all of the reforms to complete, but you have more time (aligning with historical end of the Tanzimat reforms). Because of the extended time some reforms have been made more difficult.

Austria always wins the war for German Succession and tries to form the SGF aftewards, though always falls flat since it can't annex Hohenzollern for some reason.

Apart from what I said earlier, the AI seems a lot less likely to pursue historic war. The US I'm noticing is less likely to attack Mexico now, the Ottomans don't attack Egypt and Prussia doesn't attack Denmark often enough.

I noticed a couple of things, first is that the US is usually conquering the more states from Mexico than the historical ones, usually the Rio Grande state. The second thing I've noticed is Kabul normally changes strategy before it can unify Afghanistan, so they never form it.

Is there a version of this kicking around that just has your changes to the Germany/Italy reunification stuff? Or any mods out there you'd recommend that make improvements to that logic?

I find the AI in 1.9 to be performing about as well as the best AI mods that improve economy etc now, but it still isn't very good at unifications.

@blaze , from what I can tell you have to finish all seven reforms to avoid it. I actually did my first ottomans game with this mod and didn't know it was easier in vanilla. The literacy one especially can be brutal if you don't get started early

I think there's a bug. Despite hating each other, Prussia and Austria still keep the Treaty of Holy Alliance until lategame. Thus preventing to unify Germany

I'm noticing Prussia doing a leadership play without first completing the Schleswig-Holstein JE. Pretty sure that is not meant to happen. Still, Prussia is very good at forming Germany, they are able to do it before 1860 without doing a unification play or researching pan nationalism.

You have to wait till the rest of Patagonia is colonized because otherwise you wouldn't be able to get homelands on the Argentinian part. Could revert that and add decision to take homeland on the rest of Patagonia if you control it and it doesn't have the non-indigenous yet.

Well im only saying cuz playing GB Opium wars kept disappearing from the journal or not appearing at all and the checks for the journal mention Han as a primary culture, but since it's Manchu, it wont fire or will disappear.
