well, there is a reload animation. but i don't think it is used.
It basically just retracts and then deploys again.

@DrXtale combine advanced tech. internal mag with a self-replenishing or high-capacity ammo system, similar to how the combine's mounted gun emplacements seem to have a nearly endless supply

tbh Where does the ammo come from after this? the Ceiling turret felt natural.

Kinda neat them being the same model, implies citizens are not only being watched all the time in city 17 but also have guns aimed at them at all times. That all the cameras are also turrets.
