the rudder is still there and it works, it just doesn't move visually

ok, so i use rotate the sail while i steer, and even if the rudder doesnt move the ship is still steering

You have to rotate the sails as you steer. The rudder isn't too strong so the sails have to do most the steering

I can't figure out how to steer this. I know it sounds stupid but when i go to the helm, and press A and D nothing happens. Can you help because this is the only sailboat I like on the workshop.

this is the first ship in this game i have seen with a jib and a topsail jib (unless the lower one is a stay sail)

Modding workbenches is very simple nowadays, you can subscribe to a mod on the workshop and simply enable it in the mods section when you create a new world. It really makes life so much easier, especially with tall ships.

Ah. Yeah, that would be a problem for sailing ships. Maybe the devs should raise the vanilla height limit for the workbenches to accommodate the needs of the sail update.

yes, there's fins hidden inside the hull that do the turning

It do turn, you just have to turn with the sails alongside the rudder. You know how turning with sails usually works
